I would say, part 2: The confrontation as it is a conflict of elliot's personalities throughout the season. part 3: The reconciliation as one personality reconciles with the other and trusts completely.

Hugh Jass I didn't think so. He had the ending in mind ever since he wrote the original pilot as a movie. Im rewatching it now, and you can see that it was always going that way. There are things in the first season that set up the ending. It is excellent storytelling for a dude who is more interested in character than plot. Endings are super tricky and Mr. Robot has one of the best by virtue of the fact that Sam Esmail knew what story he was telling the whole time. The ending was earned.

Andrew Brindley I kinda agree with you. Mr Robot is by far my favourite show, but that being said there’s NO WAY I could binge watch it. I struggled to watch one episode a day. But with the weekly breaks when it was airing, it was perfect

I had a friend that told me s2 was dry and i get it to an extent but i almost lost him. he powered through and we watched season 4 in entirity together. I lmost lost him and let me tell you, its hard to get poeple to fan boy as hard as you about a show, but it's even better when it's THIS PARTICULAR SHOW

It's gotten a lot of attention but for mostly aesthetic reasons. Which is fine and all, it is great art, but it's incredibly weird how people can watch the entire show and somehow still be obedient unquestioning cogs to capital.

@Not Yet Whiterose's plan made no sense, neither did his backstory. What was in the forest?? Why and how did Angela get brainwashed so easily? Elliot's dad was abusive but Darlene had no clue? Every personality reveal after Mr. Robot was also pointless because it had no effect on the plot and none of it was ever hinted at. The list goes on. Email had good ideas but no clue how to end it all 🤣

I've been watching a bunch of Sam Esmail interviews and panels and the reason the fourth season is so good is because he knew what the ending was when he wrote the pilot. That pilot was supposed to be a movie, and he had an ending when he wrote the movie. Then it was too long and got turned into a TV show. So the revelation at the end of season 4 is earned. Im rewatching it right now and everything that happens at the end of the series is all over the first and second seasons. Super, super cool.

Bobby Canavale stole the thunder from everyone in S03 and you are right. I sincerely believed nothing could top it off but then boom, S04 and it's officially made Mr. Robot one of the greatest TV series of all time

Personalky I think Season 4 starts off crazy strong for the first three episodes and falls a bit short towards the middle. It gets better during/after episode 6 and 7, but the pacing suffers a bit especially the during 4x10 through 4x12. The 4x07 twist is so close to being perfect it kills me. Definitely could have used one more, honest flashback that is composed entirely of subtext, or maybe a new story from Elliot to Tyrell in ep 4 (kinda like his sister talking about the day she was abducted from the park) to solidify its purpose rather than just be a "take my word for it" kind of thing. Other than that, show gets a 9.5/10. If I had to rank the seasons it would probably go 3 2 4 1. Seriously, I love this show to bits.

I thought S4 fucking sucked. 1-3 tho, even tops Breaking Bad.

Where Is My Mind plays at the end of Fight Club, a movie where the main character's alternate personality becomes an anarchist vigilante and blows up the head offices of every major credit company to eliminate the world's debt. @@SaraSara-sv2lw What makes me sad is the Elliot we knew all along doesn't want to go away into the darkness. He wants to live too and he feels like he is the real Elliot even though he knows down deep he isn't. I feel like it is the death of the only Elliot we knew.
