FX has a bunch of MD-11 in fleet. Watched one pop #2 engine during landing one day, a nice strong thump, thump, thump, w/ flames, smoke, and misc parts escaping from it. Closed runway for FOD sweep.

The DC10/MD11 is a beautiful bird. I love seeing the KC10 overhead.

MD-11, Very nice plane, I did have seen it's video clip for loading and unloading including it's flight plan from Frankfurt to South America and back to Frankfurt. Also I did saw two lady pilots flew the plane. I love Lufthansa and it's beautiful staff having Extremely friendly ways of explanation in Video Clip. LH 756, LH456, etc. Are very good clip too. We wish MD-11 monumental farewell with beautiful History displayed on screen for all new generation children who seek or aim to be Pilot. you really dont realise how far back that number 2 engine on the MD11 sits until you see the aircraft headon lol still hope to see some of these air crafts in person before they are gone for good

Awesome video . I love the sound and takeoff of the MD-11.

It saddens me that such a unique design the MD-11 had. Is no longer in operation anymore. It was different and ahead of it's time in design. And i still feel it has a place as a passenger jet even today with some modern updates.

I worked on the production line for MD-11 line in San Diego working on both production models as a door rigger including the 104-inch and 140-inch door. The MD-11 program was good to me.

No 2 engine has a fluted nacelle, rare and awesome. Nice!

One thing I hate about loading MD -11 cargo planes from front to back especially when supervisor rushing to get it loaded then it gets tail heavy even when the front is weighted I prefer the 777 wear it's loaded back to front
