I'm praying for you! I pray that you'll have a safe trip, there and back, and for the people in which you will help through the mission trip! I'm proud of you for doing what it is you're being called to do! You got this! That ending though- LOL

Lazy! Best wishes for your mission! So exciting for you! Here are some things I learned that I feel like people don't really talk about much. 1) If you don't get along with your companion, pray for them and try to find opportunities to serve them. 2) If you are struggling with the language, incorporate it into your day as much as possible. Personal study, journaling, letters to the mission president, writing in your planner, etc. But keep it simple as you start off. Read a verse a day, looking up each word and writing out the translation, write a simple sentence or 2 in your journal, memorize the first vision, favorite scripture, article of faith, etc. Also reading outloud, helps you to be able to read, speak and listen to the language. 3) idk how long people stay at the mtc these days (I was there for 9 weeks) but toward the end of our stay there, our teachers challenged my class to do English fasts. So we would only speak to each other in our target language from like 10 am to 3 pm or something like that. 4) On tough days, pray. Jesus knows what you're going through and what you're feeling. He already felt it. Then get up and find opportunities to serve others. It sounds cheesy but bringing a smile or lending a helping hand to someone else really does help you to heal your own sadness. 5) When you get home, continue at least saying your personal prayers in your mission language. Continue personal scripture study and journaling in your mission language will help you maintain your reading and writing abilities but are bit more work as time goes on imo. Seriously, it's so sad to me when those who were fluent by the time they left their mission start forgetting everything within 6 months of returning home. Anyway, just my 2 cents. I think you'll do great! Best of luck to you! 💖🙏

I love your channel, Lazy, but I'm mostly just feeling thankful and inspired about your mission trip. You're going to help so many people and change so many lives (including your own) on this trip! I'm very thankful, too, that I've been able to find some Christian KZfaqrs coz it just makes me so happy!!! Also, I've been watching Miraculous since the WEEK season one came out on Netflix, about 6 1/2 years ago, when I was in 4th grade with the flu. I get what you mean by the nostalgia of looking back on the day that an episode came out, and the reaction. I was at my Grandma's house for Oblivio, and it took me 2 squeal-filled hours to get through Glaciator 2 (and longer for Elation lol, ima HUGE Marichat fan) and it's so nostalgic and bittersweet to look back on episodes like that. Someday, I'll feel nostalgic for season 5 too. Anyways, sorry for the essay, I have no Miraculous friends so I can only rant online lol. Sending prayers for your trip to go well! ❤

It is so beautiful and amazing that Lazy is going off to a country for a church missionary thing. Lazy was the first (or second)Miraculous KZfaqr I started watching, but the first KZfaqr I went back on as many miraculous videos as I could and watch them all, which was the past three years maybe. A year and a half will be alot, for all of us miraculers, and I know for me I’m hoping for the best. I seriously cannot wait for the day I see “MiraculouslyLazy posted a new video” just to lyk, I will be bawling my eyes and heart out. You were my top 3 inspirations to start a channel like yours. I’m so proud of you for doing a missionary thing with your church. Definitely marking my calendar after I rewatch this again for the second time. My husband was born in Seoul South Korea if it wasn’t him getting adopted along with his adopted sister I wouldn’t have him as my husband.

I think it’s amazing that you are choosing to go on a mission trip with your church! I promise the Seoul is beautiful. My father is retired in the military but a few years ago, the AirForce deployed him to Seoul. Fortunately, my family was able to go with him and it was an amazing experience. We we there for two years while I was in high school. I was able to go out with friends and have amazing food, culture, and music experiences. The language is also very fascinating! It might take some repetition but you’ll get it eventually. The people are so kind! I do have an outsider’s pov when it comes to cultural and social dynamics but I think you’ll have a wonderful time! I hope your mission is successful!
