IMO. 1. French - It actually fits his slippery & seductive personality. 2. Persian - Sounds like dragon tongue- an incantation. Fearful & dread inspiring. 3. German- You simply flee when you hear this, you don't wait, you don't pick anything, you just flee. 4. Georgian 2- An actual demon was engaged for this voice over.😅

@@papaGimis22 different voice actors speak different actors in germany. The Guy who speaks smaug in the German dub is Sascha Rotermund. He is also the voice actor of benedict cumberbatch who dubbed smaug in the original english version.

If you are wondering why the Persian language sounds ancient its because our language hasn't changed much from 10000 years ago that means if someone from 1000 ago hears this dub he will be able to fully understand it.

The fact that the German voice actor of smaug is the same guy who dubs Benedict Cumberbatch in every movie/show despite this beeing a CGI dragon and not actually Cumberbatch just shows how high quality our dubs are. And the fact that his German voice is just as fitting for a dragon as his original one shows how well we pick our voice actors.

Yeah, I found that one particularly good cause it has that rough feel of the languages of the dark (black speach, different orcish languages, etc.). It doesn't really matter what he would say, the sound and feeling that it gives is just right for an evil dragon.

btw: *death* is "Tod" in german, and *dead* is "tot" which sounds almost the same Thats why he said "Der Tod" because, otherwise he would say he's dead lol

It actually sounds the same! In German soft consonants (b, d etc.) are pronounced the same way as their hard consonant equivalents (p, t etc.) in the end of a word. So it really is important to say "der" before "Tod" (so "the death") in this situation

Of course, in the South German dialects it could sound like a "d" because of the non-existent aspiration but the norm is like this The difference between north and south is that in the north these sounds are aspirated and in the south not

Man as a persian i must say the persian one is sucks They just messed up the meaning and translated so badly The guy says: My name is Fire ...My name is ....Death In Persian it pronounces like this: Naamam hast aatash....Naame man .... Maarge But the true translation is: Manam Aatash...Manam... Maarg And the voice actor guy was in no way the suitable choice for dragon we had far far better voice actors for this role He didn't made the job perfectly If you want to hear true persian dub you can go check the gladiator movie with persian dub You will come back to me and say the persian maximus is far better and more epic the original one

I personally think that there is a difference between just ''death'' and ''the death'' when you say the article like in the german version (DER TOD) it sounds way better and hits different. And in the german version they had to say the article because otherwise it would have meant something else. WIthout the article ''der'' it would have meant: I am dead With the article ''der'' it means: I am the death So in the german version they had to say it like that and that happened to make it even more epic

Fun fact: Smaug's voice actor in the Persian dub also voiced Po in KFP movies, Garfield in it's live action movies, Alex in Madagascar 2, Boog in Open Season, Puss in both of the Puss In Boots movies ( Qualima version ), Gru in Despicable Me movies, Venom in the Venom movies and so much more characters I don't remember currently His name is Hamed Azizi and he's one of our best voice actors
