Dude this helped me so much! I had only a few hours to to figure out a quick and easy way to give two days worth of water to my 26 birds while was gone and this worked out perfect!

That’s a horse feed dish, I got it a tractor supply.

@@GoodDayFarm what size drill hole did u use and roughly how high did u place the hole. Sorry being so anal. I wanna do this for my chickens too.

No problem! I don’t remember the exact drill bit size, probably a 3/8 or 1/2. I did four holes. As for the height, depends on how deep the dish is that you’ll be setting it in. Obviously the holes can’t be above the dish height, and too low will kept the water level low. I did mike about one inch lower than the top of the dish. Let me know if you have any more questions.

+linda silver It is possible, as long as it has an air tight seal. I just flip it over as a precaution, so it can't loss the vacuum. I got my Gamma lid at Lowes. Home Depot has them too. In the paint department. Should be able to find them online also. Thanks for the question, thanks for watching, take care.
