The Goodman brothers have been loggers all their lives. Reggie and Chris bought Goodman's Logging from their parents in the 1990s. The lifelong Monticello natives say it hasn't been easy, but hard work and finding someone who believed in them helped them secure financing to grow their logging business was essential to their growth. The Arkansas Center for Forest Business, located at the UAM College of Forestry, Agriculture and Natural Resources building, spent a couple days observing Goodman's logging operation at a local worksite. The crew of six worked in harmony as a team with each person assigned to a specific duty such as cutting trees, operating the skidder, or loading trucks. ACFB Director, Dr. Matthew Pelkki says the Goodman's are good representatives of Arkansas' logging workforce. Here's a brief look at their story.
