True story, I used that toilet when it was in New York at the Guggenheim. I remember walking into the bathroom in the museum thinking "wow this place has really nice toilets" and then realized it was an exhibit after I was mid stream. Iit was meant to be used so it wasn't like I did something I wasn't supposed to, but it was a weird moment when I realized I had just peed on real gold.

I would estimate it would take a minimum of six hours to make those fangs. The average lab tech (the people who make crowns and stuff) makes $22 an hour. That’s ~$130 for labor alone(if only one person works on them), factor in gold, other materials, shipping, and markup? I’m a little bit surprised they were only $800.
