Bees and hornets and wasps don't like cinnamon it will keep them out of anywhere. You can boil it in water and make a spray for hard to get at spots. Mice don't like mothballs it will keep them from your house cars and shed just a few and they last months. I'm a Native American and my family has lived in the mountains of the west for ages....good luck!😎

Don’t know if hornets and wasps are exactly similar, but: I’ve a tiny cottage in the countryside (Netherlands), where last year we were absolutely ‘terrorized’ by wasps, hundreds of ‘m. Pest control couldn’t find a nest, but said to me: you better feed them. Eeehhh?? Then a specialized biologist said the same. By mid July, August, wasps are looking for sugary food. I was told to provide that, so every day I sacrificed ;-) like half a cantaloupe or a jar of jelly at the far end of the garden, about 25 yards from the house. Worked great.

45 years ago, when I was 25, I built a gambrel roof (barn roof) garage. I cheated on laying out the rafters. I know that all the information to lay them out is on a traditional framing square, but I just laid out the dimensions of my side walls on the deck of the attic floor, found center and laid out the rafters on the deck. I calculated all the angles from the pattern, not from a square. It turned out pretty good and I drive by it now and then when I'm back in Minnesota just to revisit. I started out as an amateur just like you. I'm still not a pro, but I can build a strong house.

Melissa, you will probably like this. But I was cheerfully watching the video and thinking back as it progressed as to when I first ran across your channel it was to watch you cleaning rabbits. I thought back as to how far you guys have come since then and was thinking I missed seeing the rabbits when.....BOOM!....10 seconds later what flashed on the screen was your hutch full of cute rabbits! HA! Sure glad to see some rabbits fattening up on your new homestead. You guys have come a long, long ways since the days at your old home. Live is different for you now but I truly can see in in both your faces....You guys are a lot happier now! Congratulations on making the move to Idaho. It's going to be the best thing you have probably ever done. Are you dealing with hornets nesting in the ground? Here is Mississippi we get both nests in the trees and the ground. The ones in the ground are difficult to avoid as they will have several escape tunnels out. Hard to destroy their nests. If its a nest in a tree somewhere, you can easily destroy it with a drone! See some of the videos on UTube of drones whacking hornet nests. Great fun to watch!

If you have a freezer you could fill 2 litter bottles 2/3 full and freeze them. The put one in each rabbit cage. Have more bottles frozen and ever 2 to 3 hours replace them. That is what we did when we lived in Central Point, OR. The weather there gets really hot. We use to raise rabbits for the table.
