Today I go to Las Vegas Goodwill stores thrifting for items to resell online. I find a luxury car item and more items to flip on Ebay. I also have a follow up on a vintage pair of JNCO jeans that recently sold.

Goodwill is acting like a RETAIL STORE!!!! I saw a Video when Law Enforcement came in to ask for a PAIR of shoes for a Homeless person which was a lady.... They WOULD NOT DONATE!!!!! So this Wonderful Policeman Paid for them out of his own POCKET! Size 8 used the price was almost $30.00 for used shoes .... I am BOYCOTTING THEM! Everything is donated to them! How can The NORMAL average People afford such PRICES????

It used to be more for low income & people who were homeless , etc . Now it is a store for resellers . It is sickening the way they jack the prices up even higher than it sells for new in the retail stores ! I just watched that video you referred to ~ sickening ! I will never donate to them again!

I don’t know about the employee stealing stuff from Goodwill because my niece was a manager of Goodwill for years and years and years, but I do know what she told me that it has to be on the floor for so many hours before they can buy it so what they do is they hide it.

I used to go to a goodwill that always had Harley Davidson shirts that were affordable. Not any more they were asking $35.00 for a tank. Not doing it, I’d rather pay that on a sales rack at the local Harley Davidson store.

I've donated to Goodwill, and they said they don't take things that are damaged or stained. The fact that they sell things that are damaged or stained shows that they don't do a good job of inspecting.

There is a great movement over social media and it's against Goodwill. Goodwill takes in thousands of dollars a day-per store. They also throw away thousands of items they don't wish to sell. You mean to tell me that you cannot give a size 9 pair of shoes to a policeman for a homeless woman? Never again Goodwill ... Never again!

I just found your channel this Afternoon and this is the 3rd video I’ve watched. I love your light hearted sense of humor. I laughed sooo hard of the “horror Show” figurine with the hands missing. Back in early 2000’s I sold tons of brand new JNCO jeans, probably about 100 pairs at least. I wish I had them now! It was exciting to watch your JNCO story!

I have a bunch that belonged to my mom not sure when she got them but I was born in 1960 and I think she had them long before then. I guess I should pull them out and check on the value. I need to get rid of them. My kid don’t want them.

I've seen some vintage plates sell for hundreds or thousands of dollars But it's the plates that are not meant to be collectibleThe very old plates

There is a lot of generalizing here. Goodwill has great prices, it comes down to the management. I have 4 Goodwill in my location. All different prices for the same stuff. I have seen them give homeless people stuff too matter in fact clean it before giving it away. This all comes down to who is pricing, the employees, and management. It has nothing to do with "Goodwill".

I too search thrift shops for mostly OOAK oil paintings, some watercolor, unique wall art, etc. I think the best thrift shops are those that benefit a church or community center, or animal shelters. I go to many up and down the California coast. I will say that Goodwill, in any county in California, are THE WORST. They throw items around, they charge way too much for the tat they get, they treat the merch terribly, most items are chipped, torn, stained, or broken. The CEO of Goodwill also resides in South OC, and he gets paid WAY too much - like hundred's of thousands in yearly salary. Goodwill is most definitely on my 'no go' list, and the few times I've reluctantly walked in a few of them in Orange County, California - nothing but junk, with sharpie pen marking the item with price. The best thrift shops where the prices are fair - animal shelter and church thrift shops.

I still have a house phone for my kids. No way I'm paying for cell service for kids. We have a VOIP for $30 a year. I think people would be surpised how many families still have house phones.
