I decided to stop at a smaller Goodwill in hopes of finding things that I could buy for resale. The shelves were loaded and I found a bunch of treasures.

I was rewatching the movie The Help the other night. They were serving deviled eggs at one of their bridge parties, and in the middle of the serving dish, they had pickles. Maybe that's what it was for?

Amburlicious I was thinking the middle was a place to put celery, standing them up. That was my first thought, but it could have been for dip, too!

Here in Germany, there usually are salt & pepper shakers (mostly in the shape of chickens) in the middle of such a plate. Sometimes its only one larger chicken that serves as a cover for a pot of some extra mayonnaise or a tomato/crab salad. I think this might have been the case here. If you google the German word "eierkabarett" you can see what I mean. There are even plates with space for asparagus.

its fun how i watch you and lavender clothesline go to the same thrift stores , you each have such different tastes in what you buy and sell, i'll see each of you pick up and buy what the other one wouldn't buy ..you got that silver camera at point 19:39, which i loved too, but she passed on it a few days earlier ...."to each his own " they say ...

On behalf of all Goodwill employees, THANK YOU for not just leaving items on the ground. You would not believe how many people are not as considerate as you. Your videos have helped me so much in seeing our stores through the eyes of our customers and I have even shared a few moments with my teams to show them how other stores look and what I hope we can do better. You, the customer, have the best view and all of us at all Goodwill's thank you for supporting us and our mission :)

I spotted what looked like an older saladmaster lid for a larger pan or skillet. They are easy to spot as they haven't changed their design in 60 years. Stainless steal and have a small dime sized steam vent with cover on top. These sale well, but the amount depends on their size. If this was a larger one, it would sell for $20 to $30 plus additional for shipping. Search for Saladmaster replacement lid for comps. I find a piece of saladmaster about once a year so that is why I'm excited. My favorite score was a set of 4 or 5 pans and a skillet, all with lids that had just been put out at Goodwill. I paid around $50 for them and sold them for almost $400.

The ugly quilt? I may recognize it from one square because I was so fascinated with that little worm. My Mom made it when I was little & I don’t think she ever finished it. Since she grew up in the Depression I’m sure she kept it & wonder what she did with the squares. BTW: Hers was made from floral fabrics on a white background. Haven’t thought of in years. The pattern was from a magazine “Golden Hands”

Whew!!! So glad you changed carts. I do the same thing when shopping...can't stand the noisy carts...they're like fingernails on chalkboard right? None of our GWs are opened yet and none of our local thrift stores either. But I see that SAs are open...hum...maybe I'll pay a visit soon. Lots of treasures. So looking forward to the hauls with all the goodies from the past few days ❤💚💜💙💛 p.s. I noticed the baskets. I watch a lot of decor videos and there is quite a lot of decorating with baskets especially unusual ones or ones made out of exotic grasses. As long as they're small they would be easy to ship. Just a thought.

In the white glass isle you missed looking at white with black mug "Children of an inner light". It's was below and a little ways from the white milk glass dish you picked up. An easy way to determine whether or not a purse is genuine is to check the hardware. Designer brands typically have their name on the hardware (zipper pulls, grommets, etc. ). Compare the hardware to a bag that you know is cheap. You will definitely be able to see a difference in the quality. They also have the designer name label on the inside usually below the inside zipper pocket. The interior lining may also have the designer name written on it.
