I think the Jelly Bean White House container is in reference to Ronald Reagan who loved jelly beans and always had them on his desk to snack on.

I had the Faith and Love plaques as a child and I’m a 70’s baby. I saw them in an antique store recently and didn’t look at the price because I knew if I touched them I would buy them. They bring back wonderful memories.

I love your videos. Unfortunately with Goodwill, they now have an online auction site. They are saving alot of items for their online auction. It's one site but it does say which states the items are from. Our goodwill done have anything but alot of clothes. They only have a couple of isles with nothing decent. Guess they are selling them online now. I love learning from what you know about stuff. Goodwill is making a fortune from people donating items. Goodwill is a lie though. They don't help anyone but corporate. Hope you keep finding some great vintage to sell

The naked lady glass came in a box with her naked man ! I had a few box sets that I gave away to my adult siblings in 1980 cause I was just a twelve yrold kid when I bought them at a yard sale ! For Shock value of course ! Naughty girl 😆

Lucite, Bakelite, celluloid, glass, enamel, & painted porcelain buttons are what to look for, when sifting through old buttons.

The flash back of you metal detecting brought back memories of when I first discovered your channel. Still a beautiful lady! I'm not 100% but I think the round black cast iron piece can be put on a outdoor grill to raise it up off the heat or to double cooking surface.

Some great finds. The white bowls with the duck on the side come white. I have a set of the bowls with the colors. The colors are not painted on the outside and do not rub off. They are applied on the piece when it is still green ware and "baked" in with the first firing. A clear glaze is applied to the piece after the first firing and then fired again. I also liked the flowers in that great container. Whoever arranged them did a great job.

Personally, I like your live videos vs the voice overs. That way we get your initial reaction when you go to grab an item. Voice overs are more thought out when describing the item, imo. Either way, I love shopping with you. Can't wait to see Laurel in your next video.

My gramma used to let me play with her buttons I was getting ready to hit the eBay button to grab up that jar of buttons . There’s a 90 year old lady down the street in a hoarder house and I bought a jar of buttons from her so cool . When they would get rid of old clothes gramma would twist off the buttons.

I bought the Faith and Love plaques for my daughters nursery, she was born in1981. Can't remember where I got them so they could have been second hand. Brought back such wonderful memories.

When you showed that container with that beautiful silk flower arrangement the first thing I thought of was those flowers will get so dusty! Then you said it! 🤣 Looks like it started off with slim pickins but then you found some nice pieces in the end! That cast iron enamel piece of cookware was really nice! I know some people like Christmas in July but I personally cringe. I can't believe the year is half over already! 🤯

The first thing you picked up, the 'love sign' I remember from my childhood and that was in the 70's.. Glass box.. Usually means people were collecting them. They weren't being played with. It kept the dust off the dolls. Glass buttons are pretty old 😊

Love and Faith are Home Interior. My mom had them when she sold Home Interior and they were hung in my room. Late 70’s.

That green cast iron pan made in Holland is most likely a Dru pan from the 1950s-1960s. Even with those chips it’s still worth more than $50.00, mainly because of its unusual shape.

Hey Jocelyn, I was noticing those clear pieces that you were wondering about in the button bottle. I think they were belt buckle forms for seamstresses. You would sew material for a belt and weave it through them. I believe my mom used them because they looked familiar to me.

Actually you are partially right! They are “covered buckles”, used with matching fabric belts (matched to your dress fabric) and there are 2 parts to the buckle. You glue the fabric to the buckle, trim it and tuck the raw edges of the fabric underneath and snap on the bottom of the buckle underneath so you have a matching buckle to your belt.

I found 6 glasses that were similar to that ice bucket with the different colored glass pieces in a GW near me. Turns out they are Millefiori Drinking Glasses- Hand Blown glass! Purchased for $1 each. I’ve been watching and learning from you:)

That weird thing is a miter saw. It makes miter cuts for molding in a house,baseboards, crown moldings even windows. That was one of the saws my Dad trained me to use. Just thought you might like to know. 🙂

01:27 That's no medieval torture implement; it's a very nice and sturdy mitre box, for cutting moldings and other wood you need to cut on the bias. 09:01 That is what is technically called a "titty glass." Probably it came from some strip club, a souvenir of a bachelor's party. 10:11 Yep! With that atomizer on board, you'd better believe it. 10:27 It's a Jelly Belly promotional/souvenir item. Remember how Ronnie Reagan was such a fiend for Jelly Bellies? 14:29 Some kinda heat diffuser for gas ranges.

In Japan many of the dolls come in glass cases. That doesn't necessarily make them more valuable. I think it would be fun to remove the dolls and use the case to create a collage of cool things you love or collect.

Omg, that’s hilarious! I had a ceramic butter dish that matched the bowl with the goose on it. Mine didn’t have a painted bow either. The bird was also a bit smaller and I could never quite tell what it was until now. It always looked like a mini T Rex, but I knew that wasn’t what it actually was. 😂😂😂

I loved the flashback clip of your metal detecting days. We’re actually looking into buying a metal detector. My 7 year old thinks he’s an archaeologist and keeps digging holes in our yard. Our home is 1850 and he’s found pottery shards, but no metal.

1:22, that is a Stanley antique miter cut box used to cut angles on ends of wood for things like corners. Average sold price on Ebay, about $80, SOLD price! You may want to go back and get it for $20! You have the potential to make $60 profit.

They closed a goodwill in NJ that had really good deals. On Sundays NJ has $1.00 day for all items with certain color tags if you ever venture to NJ . love all your videos, I've learned so much. Thank you.

The Great Alaskan Bush Company in Anchorage had glasses similar to the lady glass. The also had cowboy boot glasses. My neighbor was a dancer there.

The quilted cream colored dish with pearls on it is Avon. Suppose to be a perfume atomizer and another piece that goes with it.

Yes Terry, you are correct. When my son was young and we lived in CA, we went on a tour of the Jelly Belly factory in Fairfield, CA. There is a portrait of Reagan made out of Jelly Bellies, too funny!

Ha. The torture device is the frame for a mitre saw. If the saw is with it, they bring decent money in FL. I've had several in my booth and can sell for $75 for a $10-15 investment. As you suggested, that doll under glass was worth more because it was haunted. I cant stand dolls, they creep me out!!!
