Wow, I'm really surprised by how that "official" handled the situation with the Tecnica driver. There's an old saying my grandfather once told me: "Advice is best given in private." Public advice (more like criticism in this case) can feel like an insult. Honestly, I'm not sure what the driver did wrong (if anything). After all, it's a racing event!! It's not like he spun out and killed people.

The issue had to be the queue of cars backing on to the turn around causing it to be too close quarters for sliding. Matey in the Lambo probably didn't see the sign just as Johnny Jobsworth happens to be there. All that was needed was a quick word with the driver - really no need to make a scene over it, taking photos and all that bullshit. Assess the situation and react appropriately and proportionately.

True, the donuts do look amazing and it may be sad to some that they may be getting banned, but in my opinion it doesn’t take that much charm away from the event anyways. Besides, it’s not like the historic racing that happens here is going bye-bye anytime soon.
