Thought about it not having any aux outputs to connect to my home theater. But realized google music can stream to my smart TV which is connected to my home theater receiver. This is a definite GO! Thank you Floss for the review.

I'm really stuck between this or Amazon Alexa.. I have rooms full of Philips Hue lights, Nest thermostat, and a couple of other things. I don't know which to get!

The Tech Man I think the one and only spot where Google home is better is that you can continue conversations. For instance, you can ask how is the weather, and after she tells you, you just say what about tomorrow? With Alexa, you have to start the conversation all over. Otherwise for right now, there are way more third party skills built in to Alexa. As just one pretty notable example, Alexa has both TuneIn radio and I Heart Radio. Judging by what is listed on the box, it seems that Google home does not have iHeartRadio.

The Tech Man I saw someone using the hue lights with Google and Alexa side by side and Google home handled commands for the lights better than Alexa. it was more consistent when changing colors

poppyshoessp I can already say, that "Ok Google" is pretty annoying if you say it over and over again.. I have the Echo Dot and Alexa is a better name (and you can change that). But I'm looking forward to see the battle :D

Echo by far, this definitely ain't the "buy it for the speaker" speaker, but the BOSS functionality makes up for it.. I got it connected with some lights and it's some OG James bond type shit lol

Dude, you've got a nice narration voice and reading pace. I could so hear your voice behind a smartphone ad or service like Verizon or something. Have you considered doing commercial voice-overs? Also consider the Echo dot 2nd edition will be main competition because it is small and 50 bucks. Looking forward to the Echo vs GHVA Speaker because they are very similar by 2 big name brands.

As always, I appreciate your views! Gotta ask though. When you do the comparison with the echo. Factor in getting the dot 2nd gen. And buying a similar speaker to the google home, or using a bluetooth one you already own. Just for a cost analysis. Thanks!
