Hey Pat, money content bro, thank you. 2 questions - how do you pick the keywords to set up autoscans for on Sem rush. For example, for a cabinet painter. Also, how do you determine the best mile radius for the scan? I'm working with a much bigger city, that is spread out.

Great video thanks. Question- do you need to have service area on your main search tab on the website bar on top? Or can you create location landing pages linked to blog posts without having them visible there? I also read that if the text is the exact same on all the city landing pages - you get penalized. Is that true? Thank u!

Dude great stuff. If you would put out a course I would absolutely buy it. That being said, do you know of any good courses you would recommend that runs through local SEO/GMB processes A-Z. Your videos are great but I would like to go more in depth with the complete process, checklists, SOP's, etc

Great video. Based on your experience, have you never had any issues with duplicate content on your location pages? I had a quick look at the website, and the content its pretty much the same. I know in general everywhere I read about location pages, everyone is suggesting that the content should be unique. and not duplicated.

1. A guest post is just a backlink from another website typically in the form of an article with a link pointing to your site. 2. Yes, we use the same content or spin it slightly using something like Jarvis.

I'm really enjoying your content! Is this client's physical address actually in Dallas? I know that their GMB is set up as a service area as well, I'm just wondering if you'd recommend that the home page and primary location pages target the nearest, largest city vs the actual, smaller city that their physical address resides in. Does that make sense? I'm located in a smaller city outside a major metropolitan area and wondering which city should be my primary city.

Yes typically you will see the best results in the city where it was that you verified your listing in due to Googles algorithm especially if theirs alot of competition in that nearby larger area. For example in this video the clients address was in a suburb of dallas and although we optimized the home page and main service pages for dallas we also created location pages for his actuall address. This helps us not only rank his GMB in the suburb city connected with his GMB but also rank organically in Dallas using his main website.

@@paul512bmi I don't personally have any experience with mobile service GMBs but the client I used here in the example has a service area GMB. I've heard that Google has made it slightly more difficult for mobile companies but again don't have any personal experience with them. I've seen them still rank so I think it's still possible.

What do you mean by "link out the anchor keyword to your gmb"? Are you saying to make the keyword "air duct cleaning" to be a hyperlinked word instead of regular print, and put in the link to your gmb profile for when someone clicks that word? 🤔

On your location pages, the first internal link that is intended for the location's service page actually goes to the Dallas service page. The "best air duct cleaning service" text. Is this intended?

Awesome videos man! I have an insurance business, specifically for Medicare. So our main site doesn’t specifically target my local town but should I do something similar with a “local service” tab or something and name a bunch of local nearby towns to try and rank there? I have clients all over the country but I want to also target locally with my site.

@@PatQuiroz can this strategy be used to push out proximity on GMB is you show your address? I do business over the phone so they don’t really need to come to the office. With that being the case should I do a service based GMB or would that hurt me?

@@tylermcdaniel5854 yea I would like at the top 5 results. If the majority of them have an address then I would highly advise to have address showing. If theirs a couple service area listings in top results then yes you can make your listing into a service area.

@@PatQuiroz how big of a radius do you think it is possible to get in the 3 pack or like you said top 5 on GMB? Honestly the stuff that comes up isn’t really even competitive. I am just curious how far you have seen people push their proximity

@@tylermcdaniel5854 the proximity will come down to 2 factors. The amount of competition and the city. If theirs not many competitors I've seen GMBs go out to like 10 even 15 miles. In higher density cities typically your looking at 2-5 mile radius for good rankings once fully optimized at its peak.

This is great info. How do you prevent duplicate content? I write content for different service areas with unique content but when I visit clients' site someone before using the same exact content and changes the city name. Not good practice.

You can always spin it or re word it with using something like Jarvis or something similiar.

The rebranded, and were using the homepage for Google Ads for a while so they wanted to hide the service area pages but pages are still on website and ranking
