You can add sharpness on the iphone. You can't take it away though. The Pixel Images are WAY oversharpened.

iPhone is overdoing it with the HDR, and as a result you don't get enough contrast. The Pixel is deliberately leaving some darker areas to give us that contrast, which gives greater feeling of depth too.

hiiamragu that’s because the iPhone really pushes the HDR, which makes it preserve the most detail both in highlight and shadows, but lack in contrast.. the difference is that contrast can be added back in post, lost details can’t. But straight out of the camera the Pixel is more appealing

Mahesh Exactly! I’ve had the same experience with my XS MAX and the Lightroom Mobile app. Sharpness, Contrast, Clarity and Dehaze can make almost any smartphone photo look better and more pleasing. The thing is that, although this effects can be added, it’s difficult to actually remove them, so for me I get more flexibility with the iPhone as I like to edit my photos and sometimes I don’t want to add sharpness or contrast (and to be clear, I don’t edit them only to get them to look as “Pixel” or “Samsung” photos, but to get a result that pleases me altogether depending specifically on the image itself and no two photos have the same “filter” or edit for that matter.)
