Pixel 3a XL Best feature = No ugly notch 👍

Honestly for the majority of people, these are great devices. Great camera and performance that the average person won't see the difference in application opening speed.

thanks for acknowledging that the fingerprint sensor also pulls down the notification shade and how useful that can be. I've been very disappointed that most phones are ditching that for in screen sensors, and therefore losing this one-handed functionality..

Today on my Pixel 3a XL: Left the house at 7am with a full charge. Used the phone a lot at work texting team members, checking and answering emails, making calls, and using work apps. Farted around on the net during my breaks and took a bunch of test photos. Got home at 5:30 pm and my battery percentage was at 65%. I connected to my home wifi, downloaded a few more apps I was missing. Got on the twitters, youtube, chrome off and on. It's 10:45 pm and my battery is at 44% as of now. Screen on time is at 5 hrs 48 min. I feel I can push this past 8 hrs before it dies.

I love this phone, it's great for the money, really reminiscent of the Nexus days. I hope the 'a' series is here to stay.

To all you folks complaining about this Pixel in the comments, I dare you to actually try it out before making a comment. This phone is truly impressive for the money. I own both major flagship phones from Samsung and Apple. Except for the plastic exterior, this phone compares nicely to the flagships, for half the price. Ignore the specs, and tryout the device.

I don't know why reviewers don't spend more time reviewing the software of the phones? That's what I want to see.

I like the smaller version of pixel 3a because it's smaller and easier to carry for my small hand. Thank goodness the microphone jack is available for this phone. A great sweet spot. Great video Tim!

The game you demonstrated takes internet, so when you left the app, it had to reload. You could see that the screen turned black after you swiped up.

Do you have issues with videos backing up and the backups being poor quality? Since google photos on the 3a wont back up original quality

We just ordered my guy the 3a XL. Our carrier recommended it over the 4 and 4XL......so that was nice.......looking forward to checking it out. Did he say the 3a XL is NOT waterproof? It shows to be waterproof on my carrier's website. ???? Going to have to look into that!

Would you guys think it would be silly if I went from the iPhone 8 Plus to the 3A XL? I’m wanting to go back to Android, but also would like to not pay a grand for a phone. But if the phone won’t last a while, I don’t want to make the jump.

Can someone share an objective opinion of the battery life of the 3a XL? because i really doubt about the battery life compare to a mate 20 pro for exemple. Can this phone handle a 2 full days of insta, 2 hours of Pubg, 4 hours of youtube streaming video, Spotify offline all day, browse web all day, for exemple ?

Can these phones be easily rooted?

My husband and I bought the Pixel 3a XL. Two days ago, Everything is great EXCEPT. My phone has a very quiet ring even with the sound all the way up. My husbands is loud and perfect...I have been reading more people have been having the same problem. With no fix available .. The sound is perfect when listening to music or you tube, but the ringer is very anemic....any thoughts?

The big bezels is a plus. Avoids accidentally triggering icons and stuff on the sides of the phone.

Still using mine and I love it, battery life is still good, camera is impressive, speakers sound great and these software updates have been on point (of course it's a Google phone).

For this price I think it got almost everything, almost 😂

I just side loaded a 3a alongside my Note9. It's been about 3 full days now and I'm probably gonna sell my note 9. Not that I think the note 9 is lacking. But I was a huge Nexus user back in the day and this is striking so many points to the good old days. I love the pixel 3a.

I waited for Cyber Monday & picked up the 3a XL for 4oo.oo bucks tax included. The camera, OLED display & battery are very good. The 670processer, no lags or stutters. My first pixal and I would recommend this phone to anyone, especially at this price!

picked up a 3a on Offerup for $180. worth every cent. Best camera on a phone for sure and battery life is amazing. go for it if you want a flagship camera, the latest software updates, and amazing battery life without a flagship price. trust me the 3a will get you thru an entire day without a hiccup. its past 11p here and ive been on my phone using youtube, phone calls, and browsing lots of apps and i still have 11% left. i unplugged my phone around 730am.

I chose the the 3a as the do is just too big to use comfortably day to day also it’s cheaper at £399. Battery lasts great and I have around 30%- 40% left when I put it on charge at the end of the day. It’s charged so fast with the 18w quick charger it’s amazing. Build quality is fab no creaks or squeaks and it’s lighter than expected but no less durable. Cameras really are probably the best in any smartphone at any price. Speed and performance is fantastic and I’m coming from a iPhone XS which is considered one of the fastest on the market. Great stereo speakers add to the overall experience. I really can’t see any reason why anyone would not consider this as their next smartphone especially as it saves you (and me) a fortune yet delivers most of what I got from my £1000+ device which is now up for sale.

As soon as I was able, I traded in my Galaxy S9 for the Pixel 3a XL. I originally got the S9 because at the time it was the most powerful, fastest phone. But it soon became annoying because of the notorious Samsung bloatware and the obnoxious Bixby button. But I immediately fell for the Pixel 3a XL. An unexpected bonus is you can hear feedback from your mike, so you can hear what you sound like while on a phone call. I have not been able to enjoy that feature since I had a landline. This makes it so you are not yelling during a call, because you can hear what the person on the other end of the convo can hear. The installed apps are Google only -- most of which are actually useful. So it's as simple, straightforward and functional as a touch-screen smartphone can be.

I love mine. I bought it for the 3 main features you indicated... price, camera and battery. The forehead and chin makes it look dated compared to the beautiful Samsung S10, but the Pixel is more rugged so it's worth the trade off. I also find Google phone to integrate perfectly with Google gmail and other Google apps. The XL reminds me of my Nexus 6P which was a trusty workhorse for me. I had a hard time deciding to buy either the Pixel 3a XL or Samsung S10. The S10 is a stunning flagship and the 3 cameras are best in the world of all phones. But the Pixel meets my current needs just fine. The S10 is for those that want the very best specs. No thanks.
