My pixel 4a stopped charging yesterday. The battery was replaced in Feb by Ubreakifix. They took it back and replaced the screen and the battery. Those didn't help, so they are trying to replace the port. What are the odds that won't work either? Any other ideas?

Is this charging port flex also what enables wireless charging? My pixel 4 lost it's wireless charging and will replacing this fix it?

@@DIYGeardo My pixel 4 lost wireless charging about 1 year ago. Apparently many other 4's also lost their wireless charging around the same time related to the rollout of a firmware update. Google support has been very evasive about this. Is it even worth replacing the coil if it is a software problem? I ended up buying a pixel 6 but it is huge compared to the 4 so miss the smaller form. The trends in phones to be bigger is I'd guess for larger batteries.

It depends. It can faulty charging port or something with the board

@@DIYGeardo tanks for replying. I suspected that as well. It takes just over 20min to charge up to 50% and from then on it just keeps getting slower and slower. From 90% to full it's another 20+ minutes. I've never experienced anything like it. 😮💨

*My heart stopped seeing guy blowing HOT air on battery - because you know...... he just used hot matt and it was too complicated for him to warm up glue only from the bottom - or......... use IPA to dissolve glue - but NAH - BOIL battery with heat gun better :/* I wish you good luck - YOU WILL NEED IT!

Thanks for your feedback. Some devices need extra heat. Applying little heat gently is fine. Using isopropyl is always good. It is. It not recommend to heat the battery if it is swollen.again, thanks for your input.

@@DIYGeardo extra heat from the top where NOT glue? But again - NAH - just all those poor customers which will get degraded battery because of your lack of knowledge what you are doing :(
