Just an FYI an update went through addressing the fingerprint sensor a few days ago. Apparently it resolves the hassle that some ppl get from the sensor. You might have to delete fingerprints and redo them, but all in all according to the subreddit its a big improvement.

Alot of small details make this 6 pro the best phone I have ever used. From the battery life, to the typing, to every single picture I take absolutely wowing me. If you are someone with kids or pets that you take pics of, this is the absolute BEST phone for getting the clearest shot every time. I'm telling you guys it's truly amazing. Also with the size of the sensors this year, please don't use portrait mode! The pics have a beautiful natural bokeh

Great Review. Currently I have the Pixel 2 XL, and absolutely love it. With the timing of the updates stopping for the 2, I was hyped to have the 6 release line up perfectly. After release, I have to say, the 6 didnt wow me like the 2 XL did many years ago, but at this point, its more of a need to upgrade more than a want. Im sure I will love the 6, but I think the main thing is the price point, to where Im not blowing up the bank for a phone I can resell the 6 in a year or so when a better phone like the Pixel 7 or another flagship can blow me away like the 2 XL did.

I'm loving my Pixel 6. I haven't had a single issue. Not even with the fingerprint scanner that a lot of people complained about. 10/10

Wish they brought back the squeeze feature the pixel 2 had. But the long press does seem pretty easy to use as well.

Loving the Pixel 6 non pro, but bro I'll miss the Pixel 5 so much, the screen was better in form and on color reproduction and the size, comfort and that peace that you know you basically will never dropped it and even if you do it will probably not even get a scratch.

I've been using the pixel 3xl since it came out and am looking to upgrade. My two options are pixel 6 pro and I phone 13 pro. Cost aside, this is one of the hardest choices I've had to make. I don't or haven't used a single Apple product in the last 7 to 8 years. Lol what to do.

Great review, the only thing that I still don't understand from most of the tech reviewers is that you can't just recommend a phone for an upgrade because the new one is much faster or have better hardware, of course the 6 is technically faster and "better" than the 5 but there are still people using the 5 because of its size and that upgrade won't be as simple as "yeah make the switch the 6 is better", thats my case, I can't just upgrade to a phone that won't fit in my hands.

I've watched literally dozens of reviews on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro phones. The one thing I'm really interested in is the one thing none of them ever mention. How well does it make calls & texts. Is the signal strength as good or any better than iPhones, Samsungs, and all the other 5G phones available. Sure the smart phone issues are important, but some of us actually use our phones to stay in contact with others. Would someone please give us the skinny on the real use of phones for the common Joe like me...

I happened to come across some sites that indicate there is an issue with text and e-mail notifications coming in hours after they were sent. Perhaps this is a network issue, but I wanted to know if you have encountered this while using the P6P. I look forward to your reply.

Disappointing that the Google pixel 6 was advertised to have an interpreter mode which would work offline without Wi-Fi, it does not. I contacted Google. Google they confirmed that it does indeed have an offline mode for the interpreter mode but they were unable to make it work for me. They sent me to Google forum support where I posted the question but at this time have still received no help. Any suggestions as to how to make the interpreter mode work offline with audio translation?

How is the charging speed like. Does it really take more than 2 hours to charge even though it says 30 watt charging ?

I'm not sure where the rumor got started but the Pixel 6 Pro variable refresh rate is 60hz or 120hz. Nothing lower or in-between. If you go into developer settings, you can toggle "display refresh rates and see. Great review though.

Just got the Pixel 6 for early Christmas present since my old Galaxy 5 Samsung is no longer usable because I'm out of storage space and it takes 5 minutes to load any app. I would like to use it with Map My Run, but I'm worried about jogging with it with the camera bar standing out. Zippers on my fanny pack, or hard edges might scratch it even with my new case. Is there anyway to protect the camera lens area?

Ive got the Pixel 6 - my only big disappointment is I cant video in 25 and 50fps (PAL). This means its pretty useless for my final cut pro timelines.

I think smartphone photography has come to point where cameras are no longer a differentiating factor between the phones. Like you cannot go wrong with any camera. Also almost half of the reviewers said it's battery and video sucks and other half says it's pretty good 🤔

Re you sure screen can go down to 10 Hz? When you turn on developer mode you can see info about current screen refresh and i never seen it going lower than 60...

I don't like a light phone, it must have some weight to it.

For all the customization you can do on an android, it's so annoying that you have to use "Hey Google" or "OK Google" as the hot-word for the assistant. Talking to a brand, when I want to talk to my phone feels just totally silly and so far has forced me to turn off the feature entirely with both of my Nexus phones. I'm certainly not going to pay 900 Euros to then sound like a walking advertisement. Not even Apple forces you to repeat their company name over and over. Please, just please, let people change it to something decent. >.

Unfortunately the fingerprint scanner ruins my whole experience, it is so terrible! I already done multiple fingerprint from the same finger but it still lags or does not recognize. Nearly everytime i switch it on it is a struggle and i sort of regret my purchase. Hope googly will do an update real soon and adds face unlock.

All of the reviewers refuse to talk about the junk speakers! The speakers are terrible in both phones.

I returned mine after 2 weeks. It has a lot of annoying little problems that add up to something I don't like to use. Also the front facing camera is too noisy, and the main camera has slight aberrations in the lenses, creating a circular distortion ring that you can see when photographing documents close up. The battery is also not good at all.

You're way off with the video on the Pixel, photo's aren't bad, apart from ultra wide and no Macro....you're misleading people especially about the video capability 😏 The magic eraser is a brilliant feature though!

My main issues were these (I ended up returning it, and getting an S21 Ultra): It got hot while browsing video intensive apps. The battery usually fell below 30% by early evening with medium use. The screen brightness would usually change randomly, always getting too bright. The front facing camera is garbage. The main cameras have slight distortions, affecting focus on close up objects. It sucked at taking pictures of documents. It's the heaviest phone! The fingerprint sensor is slow and fails about 10% of the time. When you swipe down the notification shade, it doesn't display the time. You have to swipe again to see it. The camera, for all of its technical sophistication, seems too watered down. The maximum volume is pretty low, but it hadn't become a real problem in the short time that I had it. I lost cell signal in more places than I do with my old phone, or with this new one. Screenshots were annoying to manage and editing was limited. There's more, I'm sure. But I'm tired now.

Android phones should be compared to Android phones. Comparing them against iPhones is the dumbest things ever. Most Android fans could care less about iPhones and their features. Do theuly care? I sure as hell don't. It's like talking about something I don't know anything about and I couldn't care less about. It's just aggravating to watch and makes me leave a dislike everytime an Apple fanboy sits and raves about his precious. Talk about alienating your audience.
