Today I am going to show you how to change the screen on the Google Pixel 6, which is one of the easiest repairs, minus the whole fingerprint debacle.

Personally, I would always disconnect the battery from the main board first before I disconnect or connect any replacement parts, just to avoid any potential further issues. I don't really work on smartphones though, usually laptops so it may be a non-issue. I'm not sure if it would have any power being distributed to components unless it's powered on but if it does and you accidentally short something then it could cause more issues. You may have mentioned it or done that but I'm just trying to be helpful, not trying to be a dick or anything. Thanks for the video man, really helpful for when I inevitably decide to stop being lazy and fix mine.

Bought a pixel with a replaced screen. This calibration software fixed the sensor, i guess i was lucky.

Question, was that a data trasfer cable or just charging cable?

Doesn't matter, but has to transfer data. Unless you buy your chargers at gas stations, any charging cable will do. Easy way is to see if you can transfer data on a computer with it.

I have Pixel 6A, and the screen is totally damaged. I want my data back from my phone . If I buy a screen and connect it, will I be able to transfer all my data to a safe place before I reset it to factory setting ?

I have changed but the soft not working for calibration . Saying that my version is to new ..

Yes lol you can buy without the frame but you'll need to glue the frame onto the screen

I just changed my broken display for my pixel 6 and the fingerprint WON'T work Sometimes it works but the other times it can't recognize my fingerprint idk why Is it hardware problem or software? Pls help.

Is the fingerprint issue just non-genuine replacement parts or happening with genuine screens too? Seems prefer fucked up if Google are selling replacement displays that don't work with their software to calibrate the sensor... 100% a Google thing to do though, swear they can't do anything right.

Do you have google pixel 6 phone display....my phone is not working display because water has gone through the charging point... I buy my pixel phone 2nd hand used phone.... From a local seller... Please can you help me to replace my display... That will be a great help brother ... Here in srilanka does not have original display they sell poor quality and we cannot find it is fake or original if you can help me brother it wiil be a great help for me love from 🇱🇰❤️

hope im not too late. did you put the steel thing to hold the attachment in place? Without it the display works perfectly fine but has iconsistent or no touch response in my experience

@@alfonsodaleja3702 I did! after i plugged a mouse to my phone and updated it to the latest android version it worked perfectly
