in this video im doing a screen replacement on a google pixel 6a
i did accidentally lose the first 30 seconds of the video but all the good info is still there, just missing my intro

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

when you were putting that metal clip back, I was literally screaming at my screen for about a solid minute "THE TOP SLOTS IN FIRST!" haha

Woudln't it be better to the screen first before putting the adhesive, just to be sure it's good and especially with a dent like that?

i find it comes down to knowing how got of a quality of replacement screen you have This screen was on from ifixit who are an authorized google reseller, so i know the screen is good But cant hurt to test it first prior to gluing

@@rickstechrepairs Quickly after my comment today I replaced the screen myself and yeah it also had some little dents but it works just fine, your video helped a lot :) but you don't need to actually remove that screw because it doesn't even hold the bracket

Hello Ricks Tech Repairs.. Thank you for the video.. My Pixel 6a fall from 2feet off my pocket.. there are no crack or broken screen not even a little.,but the touch is not working anymore.. Any Suggestions.? Much appreciated thanks.

Sir i dont know what kind of replacement screen i have to buy, as an example, some on amazon are just simple display replacements for 12-15€ but i can not see any kind of extra things in the screen to apply it on the phone, i mean i cant see it on the pictures shown, and i dont know what type of display i have to buy nowbut i dont want to spend 100€ on a display screen with everything im about to cry

Is it possible to remove a screen without damaging it? I have a carrier locked phone that has a good screen.

yes but if you have never worked on a phone there would be a high risk of cracking the screen

You might have to recalibrate it but google has Software for that

It should still come out as one piece, cause of the plastic frame under the glass
