I get your point, it's logical. However a content creator has a choice on how they want to express themselves on their platform. Some viewers don't always want to see a content creator's video to seem "scripted" all the time. They may rather enjoy one who presents their content like a regular person having a "conversation" with you as if you were on a video call. To each his own that's all. That is the main reason why there are so many content creators out there, pick the once that you suit you, like a Samsung or Pixel. Good day to you.

I gave the Pixel 7 a try after using an S8+ since release before returning it after a day. I really didn't like how less customizable it was. And the splitscreen feature (App Pairs?) was a straight up downgrade. I couldn't change the nav button locations. A lot of little things in the UI just took extra effort to do compared to a ~6 year old phone. I understand people want simplicity but to me having options to customize your phone just the way you like it will always be more valuable.

Pixel 5 owner here - my little one destroyed my pixel 5 and I've been on the hunt for a new phone for the past week. I've narrowed my choices down to the S23 base (dimensions are comparable to the pixel 5), Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. I wish I could load vanilla Google android on the S23; I know you can run launchers and themes, but it's more unnecessary bloatware IMO. One of the key features I want to retain from Google, is screen calling and I can't seem to get a lot of info from people on Bixby's variant yet. Would be interested to hear if you've had any further progress playing with Bixby Text Call since making this video. Appreciate the video as well as a few others you've made, enjoying your content!

Got a pixel 7 today. It has been stressful. First a chrome update got stuck, then i couldnt work out how to bring up the apps and had to seek advice. Then the my ee app wouldnt work. Then a system update kept failing. When that finally worked it took an eternity. I am now being told theres yet another update and it keeps failing. I dont have to manually check for system updates like you often suggest. It seems to find them and try to automatically download and install. It doesnt tell me it is in the middle of one either. Not sure if it's just me and the screen protectors I'm buying but on my S22 Ultra, I could not get the fingerprint reader working properly with regular tempered glass screen protectors but I could on my Pixel 6a. On my S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra, I had to use those UV cured ones. With those installed correctly, the fingerprint reader works like there's no screen protector on. (Yes, I re-registered my fingerprints and increased touch sensitivity. Still didn't change anything.)

They use to different technology to actually read the finger prints. Samsung used ultra sonic sounds to bounce off grooves of your finger. Way more secure and accurate. Google scans your finger and uses light to brighten it up so it can be read. That's why it glows when you place a finger down. That can be tricked and isn't as accurate. But with Samsung if you put something like glass between your finger and the phone it does mess it up.

Well I have the pixel 7 pro, s23, s23 ultra. S23 ultra is the best android phone out there and if you have the money then get that one. But this a comparison is between the pixel 7 and s23. When it comes to pros and cons for both, it is practically even. All a matter of preferences. But what is the deciding factor is the needs and wants of both phones. For example, the pixel has a great voice to text system that I really want but it is not a need. What is needed is good reliable modem, bluetooth connections, and better battery life and charging speed. That's something the s23 has over the pixel 7. It was hard for me to decide because I like my pixel 7 pro. However I will be returning that because the needs seem to favor Samsung over the pixel 7. Both has great cameras but I like the pixel 7 still better by a small margin. But the connection issues, battery life, charging speeds, and over heating made me lean more toward the s23. In other words, which one is more reliable to you? I know the cost is a factor, but can't put a price on reliability.

I'd rather the Pixel have similar hardware and be around the same price. Pixel may be a good deal overall but you are getting Samsung's chips that nobody else wanted. Most people haven't liked Exynos over the years and now Google has somewhat revived it and called it the Tensor. It is one of the most inefficient chips for battery life that I've seen in a while. It also seemed to get hotter than normal. A 4300-5000 battery should get excellent battery life but not the Pixels. Google really needs to move to a different chip if they can't get the battery life right.
@majestikmoose9
@majestikmoose9 Жыл бұрын
@@markr2370 I totally agree that the switch away from Samsung needs to happen. I will say I've had pretty positive experiences with the new Tensor combined with whatever modem they're using... In terms of both battery life and connectivity, it's worlds better than the sketchy experience with the Pixel 6. I know some people are still having issues though.

OneUI is good on paper but I cannot stand the launcher, not to mention all of Samsung's bloatware (yes, their apps are bloatware) and confusing customization choices. Like why am I able to so heavily customize my lock screen, but not change something as simple as which direction my app draw scrolls? At least with Pixel Launcher, you know you're getting essentially stock android in terms of UI. It's supposed to be simplistic, and you're encouraged to seek third-party solutions to your wants and preferences. Samsung is the opposite. Everything is complex (read clunky), and they want you to stay in their ecosystem, but require you to download crap like Themepark and Goodlock from the Galaxy Store to customize most of the UI.

I was planning to get Pixel 7 Pro but after few months after the release, a lot of issues showed up. Most important ones would be battery life and a weak modem. Also plenty of other things which for sure going to bother me, like very slow charging, a curved screen, a fingerprint sensor which lights up and gonna blind me at night, heating up, not having second slot for physical simcard.. So comparing it to s23 ultra it feels like the only reason to buy a pixel for me is that camera performance as a lot of AI features are basically for US only or english speaking regions.. Even the price ain't that different as 256gb model cost 1k euro and s23 ultra 256gb is 1.15k its literally only 150e more, 512gb is 1.3k.. So ye im very much leaning towards Samsung, but your input would be appreciated!
