Great, finally a comparison between the Pixel 6 and the Pixel 7a. Until now I only saw comparisons being made between de Pixel 6a, 7a and 7. I (still) own the 6 (preparing to send in for cash back/trade-in) and had a nice time with it, but overtime I noticed I still like smaller phones so decided to buy the 7a. Just received it (sea blue version) and I like it a lot. The 6.1" size is great (for me) and the screen is more bright. Further due to the more compact screen size and the very good resolution specs, the screen is in general sharper to look at. Videos, photos etc. etc. look very good on this display. And with the trade-in action + Pixel ear buds 7a I think Google made us a nice deal. But for the ones who prefers a bit bigger screen, in my opinion the Pixel 6 is still a great choice if you can still get one for a nice (cheap) price. I had a lot of fun with the Pixel 6 and if I was not looking for a bit smaller smartphone I'd still keep it. Had some minor issues with the phone at the start but those were all fixed after a couple of updates from Google. If you are looking in the same price range as the Pixel 7a, you might want to consider to go for the Pixel 7, because this phone now sometimes shows up for almost the same price as the 7a which has just been launched. Specs are slightly better in general (camera and battery life) and just a bit more premium build quality with the complete glass finish. But if you are also more into smaller phones it can be a tough choice to make between these two, with specs between the two which doesn't differ to much and the build quality of the 7a also looks pretty premium. Google did a great job with the design and build quality. Just by looking at it, you won't notice the 7a has a "plastic" back. In combination with the 7a earbuds action and trade in of your old phone, as mentioned before, pretty strong deal from Google and tough choice to make. Good luck and Cheers!

How do you get deep black in all your apps on the Pixel 7a I use a Pixel 6 and got all grey and i hate it. Need that Pitch Black like you have on your Pixel 7a.

I still love my Pixel 6 and won't upgrade till 2025 or when GTA VI comes out. Google's first-generation Tensor chip still holds up incredibly well.

I got a company iPhone 13 recently but came back to see how my pixel 6 is holding up against current line up. Proud to a be a pixel 6 owner haha with the d brand flat black and cyan “G” on the back. 🔥

Yeah performance will be similar, there's negligible difference between the Tensor and Tensor2, they both have UFS 3.1 and DDR5 ram. I have the standard 6 & 7 and after Android 13 there's no real jolting performance differences. Android 13 made the 6 a completely different phone/user experience.

pixel 6 today and when I boot it up it says Android developer support build but after upgrading it to Android 13 all things gone what should I do should I return it

Pixel 6 is a better camera for me and higher screen brightness is very important for me too

Thank you for this comparison, I just bought the 7a I'm not mad at the specs. Also, the 6 is staying in the family so I can always trade back if I don't like it :D Something tells me I will, plus the free VPN earbuds and case is a nice deal.

Im needing advice on which phone to get. Im on attaight talk and I jabe a Samsung Galaxy A51. Now Im a heavy heavy heavy user. I play several games, especially hayday and 6:52 then farmville 2 & 3. And I like using my screen recorder to make game videos for beginners needing advice. And so I worry abiut smallwr phones because they get hot faster and I dont want to damage the internal storage. And the thinhs I want in a phone is a big screen, hd quality on rhe phone in games and movies and dual speakers if possible with the same volume on both top and bottom speaker to make it deel more surrouns sound. On a bigger body phone the speakers will sound better. I want alot of storage and bigger battery. So knowing all that my choices are not easy in atraight talk because Im not happy about any of them but they are budgwt phones. When reaply I wish I could get a s23 plus phone. But here I am so what do I gwt for straight talk? Well I watxhed a compaosom bideo for A54 samsinh and Pixel 6a and I would mich prefer a Poxel.6 over both tjose other phones just based on what Ive seen in reviews. The poxel 6 am may habe an upgraded camera but the spears sound better on a poxel 6, and it also seemed like the pixel 6 was faster in big games than pixel A. And the Pixel A only has 128 gigabytes and I dont think you can pay for more plus it has a smaller screen. Whwre as the pixel 6 has a 6.4 inch screen amd although it too has 128 gigabytes hou can pay more for 256 gigabytes. And the fact that it has more storage and more batter and 90s hertz and bwtter soinding speakers means that its left Pixel 6a in the dust in comparison to how mnay pros it has over the pixel 6a. Now Ive nwver owned a pixel. So I wasnt aware of the bottom and mid and pro range in pixel. I dont rewlly understand how come the 6a and 7a is supposentonbe the more expensive phone yet its not drawing me away from comsidering the pixel 6? Why are these phones so expensive and has a pathetic battery if your a heavier user like myself and you would expect a longer batteey life top notch camer and its fast with bugs and is great for gamimgband watching movies. Rhays why I love android because i have access ro tons of free moviw apps. My husband has a XR iphone and he can only gwt woodfix on his phone though it actualky works bwtter on my phone. But what about these other movie apps on the newer iphones? Do you know if we can get them? Like Ohappy, Orion, Videlesy, Merriciya, Woodfix, And also cw app and plex and pluto tv and tubi. Are any of these apps including the games I mentioned easy to find and get on a newer iphone? Because thats one reason why Ive stayed away from iphone because i love playstore so much.

Spoiler alert the Pixel 7A is the superior phone, although not by much, but people are going to like what they like. These comparisons are subjective, enjoy your favorite phone, wether it's the iphone 5 or Galaxy Fold.

I'm here for the pixel 6 and I own one, however after all the updates the camera bug is still there. It's ruined the experience for me to the point where I can't recommend it to people anymore. From android 13 to 14 beta 1, fixed it a little bit but beta 2 update made it as worse as before I'm losing hope or maybe my pixel 6 is just defective but I doubt coz everything works fine, just the horrible camera bug that keeps restarting my phone.

I'm looking into getting one of these for myself, and my biggest question is with some of the camera settings. As far as I know, there is a camera setting with a long exposure time that I really love, and I have no idea if it's also on the 7a.
