I pre-ordered my pixel 8 and got great trade in and free buds pro. Glad I did cus those deals have gone one week after release. Used the phone for a week and I love it. Nice upgrade from my 6a.

How are you liking it? I'm trading in my 6 currently. I started having issues with loss of volume controls, needing to restart every time to fix it. T Mobile is giving me $500 for my 6, so I couldn't say no to the 8 for around $250 in payments.

Thx for covering the regular Pixel 8, really enjoying mine. As a non-gamer I get 6 to 8+ hours of SOT/day, depending on time at higher brightness or how much I use camera.

I bought a 6a, this time, last year and have no need to upgrade (nor can I afford to) but this is interesting. One of the things I loved (and wouldn't have bought otherwise) was the fact that you can still use the "old" nav buttons. One thing I was not aware of, was that you can't move/remove the pointless Google Search Bar, which would've been a deal breaker, other than the fact that you can (and I do) use Nova Launcher, which has that function. I've never heard a reviewer, since the Pixel 6 point that out! 😉😉

@@owengibbs3820 Sure, no problem. I guess, it's a question of personal preferences. I like a specific Home Screen layout with the 4 apps/icons, I use the most, at the bottom, for easy access. That is, the Phone, Messaging, Email and Chrome apps. But, this Search Bar, is stuck there at the bottom and you can't move/remove it. If I need, on the odd occasion, to do a search, I can do so via the Chrome App, I don't do searches, all that often, therefore, the Search Bar, is of very little use to me. It'd be OK, if you could move it up, but I'm pretty sure you can't.. That said, like I said, if you install Nova Launcher, (which I always do) then that has an option, built in, which allows the removal of the Search Bar! For me, it'd be better, if Google gave that option too.

If the 8 had the same ultra wide as the 8 Pro I would be all over this. But without it I can't justify upgrading my S21 fe.

Had the 8 for a few days now and I'm so disappointed with the battery life, my almost 3 year old Poco F3 is miles better

I've had my 6 barely over a year and it's already glitching. Volume controls quit working multiple times daily, requiring restarts to get them working again. My carrier is offering $500 for trade in, so I'm more than happy to take an 8 for $10-11 a month.
