I switched from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the Pixel 8 Pro. The day to day performance and user experience of the Pixel is great. I also prefer the photos I get out of it. Not a knock to the iPhone as it is also a great phone but I just prefer the features and in hand feel, as well as the customization of Android.

@@kwabena787 The battery life on the 7 Pro was kinda bad but the 8 Pro is I would say drastically better. Android 14 might be contributing to the battery improvements tho. I don't think it beats iPhone but I can finally get thru a day without feeling any anxiety.

S23 ultra display is sharper than the pixel 8 pro display. 8 pro has shadowing around in some of the setting menu when I used it

@thepuppetsstuffsreviews6569 It is now. They added an update to scan your forehead and it gives a very accurate temp syncing woth Fitnbt. It is cleared by FDA in the US so not sure about other countries. I would say it's very useful now.

3 months later, and by-far my fav. phone. One-handed pictures in nature, no problem, except when @0.5 zoom, then sometimes capture a finger 🙂

Google pixel 8 pro, the smartest smart phone today. So much to love about this phone. Might not have the fastest processor, but the design, camera, Ai, display, and all the pixel exclusive features make it hard to understand why anybody would spend more money for a device that does similar or less. #teampixel ❤

People complaining about benchmarks on Pixels haven't used the devices at all. The experience is way different than what benchmarks show. It is way smoother than most flagships

Im thinking about upgrading to P8 pro since my Flip 4 is nearly paid off then again I might as well hold off a few more months for Pixel 9 Pro and hopefully get a free watch or earbuds included

iPhone user since the iPhone 4, I currently have a 14 Pro Max and I decided to get a pixel 8 pro for my business. Yeah, my first time owning an android device and I have to say I’m really surprised. It’s an insanely good android device! It’s smart asf and the camera is just chefs kiss. One of the few issues I’ve come across is overheating, the device tends to overheat even when I’m on WiFi watching KZfaq. Also I’m surprised how bad the default camera & photos app work, also google maps is laggy. Will spend more time with the device and see how it goes, so far loving this device!

I am baffled as to why tech reviewers won't mention about Google's video boost which makes a dramatic improvement to the already good pixel 8 pro video. This is a 3 month later video and video boost was part of feature drop in December. So, this should have been mentioned.

Because it's limited at 10min and it takes too much time to get it, you cannot directly film like that, you must upload it to the cloud

I have to use an iPhone for work and iOS just sucks as a user experience. It's just not intuitive to me. The hardware may be good, although the phones always seem top heavy and unbalanced, but the usability is so archaic. People complaining about benchmarks on Pixels haven't used the devices at all. The experience is way different than what benchmarks show. It is way smoother than most flagships. Some folks just hate to admit the Pixel phone is good.

I've only had my Pixel 8 pro for a couple of days but the battery life is fine for pretty heavy use. It doesnt get hot to me and i dont have a case on it. The AI features aren't that useful to me yet but I know that will change soon with what's coming down the pipe. The deciding factors for me to buy the 8 Pro were price because it was on sale for $800 which is a full $400 less than the 24 Ultra and the belief that Google will be at the forefront of AI development in smartphones. So far I really like this phone.

I wanted to get the pixel 8 pro, but the overheating issues and poor battery life in respect to the competition is making me consider other options. I hope the next pixel uses a Snapdragon chip

if Samsung can have a snapdragon chip with more ot less touting AI features and is a far better contender than the tensor from Samsung exynos IDK what is stopping google from using this chip beats me.....the price does not justify with this tensor chip....that is the only gripe... hope next iteration pixel does not disappoint ..nice review👍

@@Jo5ue1 This year MediaTek is a good contender almost toe to toe with snapdragon soc .....if your pricing the pixel in 1000 dollar range then we do expect better specs or else why would somebody not prefer a one plus 12 over this or a Samsung also you get a iPhone pro or max you can play AAA games due to hardware based ray tracing and also don't forget the satellite connectivity feature apart from the camera and some AI features i don't this this is VFM.......

I don’t understand those who close eyes on problems that their pixel delivers … overheating, lagging due to overheating, usual bags after every update (yeah, it’s famous part of Pixel experience- new update means smth was broken again) , signal issues (don’t tell me that everything is good and you don’t know what I’m talking about), display 'bumps' - components pushing into the OLED panel and Google didn’t admit it as a defect, battery drain due to again overheating and bad signal… I owned p6pro.. turned back to iOS and feel better in ecosystem.. But yeah, I understand those who blindly defends this device - they wasted 1000 $ on it , that’s only a reason 🤷‍♂️

I have it and, just ordered the Samsung S24 ultra, going to sell the pixel 8 pro, i am done with Google phones,, bought the 6 pro the 7 pro and the 8 pro,, all were very disappointing. Since i can't buy and use Huawei in the US,, as much as I dislike Samsung, I will stick with it until Huawei is allowed back here!

Camera only works sometimes, takes too long to take a picture in any setting, great when it works, but inconsistent, I think it's a phone problem, but Google won't replace it, I've spent hours and 5 times with tech support, screen wasn't responding to touch, i removed the screen protector 50$ and it got better, but not great,, I tried with the screen protector setting and without. Vmail icon doesn't go away, have to restart the phone. Apps don't work sometimes,, I have to shut it down and retouch, phone says on the screen shut down or wait.. Google sent me a bad phone and couldn't care less about it..

Wow. I am disappointed. This review feels really really biased, knowing she read from a script a LOT. Maybe next time someone who actually knows anything about phones should do the review. Camera comparison was truly ridiculous, too. No comment needed, considering other people here dislike that one, too. It's insane to me how bad people are at reviews. DON’T buy this crap! 1. Always on heating in any scenario. 2. Display time from 4 to 8 hours per day, depending of nothing. 3. Lagging in any apps, especially Reddit. 4. Lagging capture of video. 5. Crazy pulse width modulation of screen, which causes eye irritation, if you are sensitive person. 6. Fingerprint scanner is just worst in a whole market. 7. Worst cellular modem ever. 8Pro. Slow charging speed.

Are you telling me that you wouldn't use AI edits for photos because you would have to wait a few seconds? In some cases it can make a photo useless to beautiful by removing large objects , something that would take a lot of time in post production, your comment makes no sense!!
