I got my pixel 7 pro today. I am happy with it. I can't justify spending higher cash on the 8 pro for no noticeable improvement. I tested the camera on Google pixel 7 pro in rainy conditions. I was impressed at the detail. Satisfied.

I got the 7 pro, about 6 months ago and it sucks compared to my old android G4. I could put it 2 terabyte micro sd card memory in, batteries were cheap and easy to install,now 528 GB , now I need an adapter for microphone, headphones, external memory. It's just a pain and it's not quite as fast. Only thing better is more zoom. The G4 didn't lose signal while driving, like the pixel 7 pro does either. I guess you live and learn, lol.

@@olympics1234567 the signal whether receiving or not has to do with the carrier you can’t go wrong with Pixel they are at the forefront along with Samsung of latest Androids I have the s24 ultra the 7pro is my backup camera phone

I put on battery saver... So lower power usage and I don't game. Doesn't get hot. I got is second hand reconditioned... Best phone bargain I've had.

I had a Pixel 2 when it came out, got the Pixel 7 Pro last year, now just wait a few generations and buy the Pixel 13. Phones usually last me a fair few years and then I'll upgrade again. I always buy my phones outright. I can't justify buying a new phone every year or being on a locked contract phone plan. I wish they would bring back the finger print scanner on the back! Was my favourite feature of the Pixel phone!

@@pantheratigris9963 ahh ok. I used to have an LG G6 that had a finger print scanner on the back. It was awesome. I loved LG phones. I had the G3, the G 6 and the V60. Finally broke down and bought the pixel on Monday after having the V60 for 4 years. Still worked but the camera was glitching and a couple other small things. Battery was still good. It's too bad LG doesn't make phones any more

The 8 Pro is subjectively a better phone overall, but also more expensive. If you're not a power user then save a few bucks and go for the 7 Pro!

Raw performance isn't as important as you think good software and great optimizing is much more important and in that Pixel phones wins my old S21 feels laggy compared to my new pixel 7 pro even if the raw performance is pretty much the same.@@vishals7433

@@ayoa3892Exactly. The One UI is fast and fluid but not that beautiful. Samsung doesn't even have the sense of keeping icon labels in a single line which is a basic thing in material design.

I was not planning to upgrade to 8 Pro from my 7 Pro but my 7 Pro developed a peculiar green light leak near the power button area and started intermittent screen flickering. It was so annoying. So, I traded it in and got the 8 Pro. 8 Pro has a lot of subtle changes that make the experience even better.

@@freakystarlight sounds like that green tint and screen flickering is a known issue with 7 Pro. I regret paying for the care plus. It was not something I expected it to be. They partner with Assurant and they told me they will send me a refurbished device as a replacement device and then we need to send the old device within 14 days. I read online that many were being charged whole price for the replacement as there were delays in getting the damaged devices to Assurant. It's a mess

I had the pixel 7 pro for a year but never used it until last week because i dont like the fact you cant remap navigation buttons ,and i dont use gestures.my experience the past 7 days is the battery is unbelievable ,it lasts me all day and the phone is snappy fast snd no stutters and customizable, camera is unbelievable with alot if editing software ,i love this phone the only downfall is it takes over 2 hours to charge, because its only 23 fast charge and the pixel 8 pro is i think 33 now .id go 8 pro just for that reason alone

I Just got the 7 Pro for about $500 USD NEW I have seen the renewed ones for less but last year I bought an Pixel 6 (non pro) renewed in Amazon and as soon as I entered a pool the screen never turned on again so yes I spend about $70 USD more for one that is completely brand new this time, pretty happy with it the only thing I'll improve is battery life I thought I wouldn't like the curved screen but the curvature is so minor that I think it's something good instead of bad (IMO).

I have two 7 Pro in my family. Both having issues downloading SMS message occasionally, especially messages from IOS! Often need a power cycle/reboot and manually d/l the stuck messages to fix it.

In term of screen size, I think google phone screens ratios are skinny. In contrast, Apple Max Plus has better screen ratios which are more suited for eyes.

I am holding a 7 pro now with a broken screen unfortunately as it couldn't sustain a minor fall from a sitting position to the leg of the desk chair. The curve is weaker in these scenarios. But damaging the screen is the end of a pixel phone as it loses sensitivity and the entire screens gets a little greener.

If you buy a pixel 8 pro, you’re probably paying around 1000$ and you can’t buy it refurbished. I just got a pixel 7 pro refurbished for 330$, essentially new. If the difference was a couple hundred, maybe it would make sense to get the 8 pro. But if you buy it the way I did, you could get yourself and your entire family a pixel 7 pro for the price of a single 8 pro. The 7 pro now is a complete steal

The 7 pro is dog shit I've gone though 6 of them and they all had/ have the same problem SCREEN BLEED which is not repairable they're sending me an 8 pro for a replacement but I highly doubt it'll be any different side note it's not from dropping it it just shows up one day and gets progressively worse if you don't do anything about it My most recent one got a white/ green line down it. The speaker for some reason is muddy now that's new along with the line that's new for this replacement and then also has screen bleed so I will not be buying another Google phone ever again. I mean if you have it and you like it then that's good. It has been an absolute nightmare for me

I have the Pixel 7 Pro and love it. Despite the rumours it cannot be used in one hand, I can do that no bother. And the cameras are pretty fantastic too. Only con is my phone can get buggy but only minorly.
