Something about the way you said that holding the Pixel 8a is like holding a bar of soap almost had me on the floor! I have the (standard) Pixel 8 and truly love it and as you stated, I've learned to live with the occasional "cute" quirks. Google can definitely cause one to experience headaches now and then but I just like their phones! Thank you for another excellent video!

Purchased the 8a in the color Bay for my son's birthday. He had a Motorola something. So this phone was a huge step up for him. The blue color is beautiful ❤️

I do really love the 8a especially in that sharp aloe color. People complain about the plastic back but I actually prefer it because it’s durable and the matte back is better than the 8. Then SO many have complained about the bezels too and I simply do not care because after you use it a little bit you wouldn’t even notice it unless you obsess over minor things. I also love the more flat camera bar because it makes the phone look more flat and uniform. I do believe Google could’ve sold this for $399 as $499 makes it less of an affordable phone as the A would suggest. Which is why it’s better to wait until it goes on sale rather than getting it immediately.

What is your pick between this and the A55?

Flat-Rounded.... Flounder... Just sounded funny. The color is nice. I do wish they'd just make the phone as thick as the camera bump sticks out.

The Pixel is okay until you ask it to create smooth videos. It's fine until you start to zoom. Anything other than the primary lens ends up in choppy videos. It's bad. It's honestly a deal breaker and it's something that's not talked about often. I've noticed in videos, you guys typically do a slow pan. That helps to a certain degree, but it's not a phone that can be recommended.

I have a Motorola believe me I can't wait to come back to pixel. Motorola has gone down hill

Totally enjoy pixel devices i got mine, and got it in Bay and with a $100 Gift card from best buy. Purchased my phone unlocked so may use it as trade in for the pixel 9 when it launches.

Define “not the best modem”. I love Pixels but I’ve had issues with 3 different Pixel phones and it was modem issues that caused me to get rid of them. Does the 8a have connectivity issues? Any problems with texts or calls? I love the design and the screen brightness and 120 Hz. None of that matters if the phone modem ruins the overall experience

If you buy it during the pre-order where you get the hundred bucks yeah brings it down to 399 that's probably a good deal or waiting for it to go on sale for $399 but there's no way I'd spend $499 for this phone after the pixel 8's been 499 for 2 months it just I couldn't do it

you can get much better phones at $100 lesser than the cost of this phone. Purchase a good phone, not a brand name. Brand name looks good on clothes and apparels, not on phones.
