I pay zero attention to those that always have something negative to say about the pixel fold. You can give these clowns unlimited funds and eternal life and they would still find something to complain about. Everybody was on the z fold wagon and then when the one plus open came out they jumped on that wagon. When the next foldable comes out, they'll start talking trash about the open and jump on the new wagon. It's just crazy to me how these people find everything wrong with stuff if it doesn't fit them. I use my pixel fold as my main device and have had no issues at all. Tensor 2 is fine. Display is fine. I think the hardware is better than both the open and the z folds. I've returned 2 z folds so far for failing hinges. All the other software stuff will probably be added in updates soon. So they need to realize that most people will never experience these issues that they complain about because they use the device normally. I'm looking forward to the pixel fold 2. I hope they don't change they format of short and wide. Perfect for me. Great video sir. Good to watch someone that's not finding everything wrong with it and appreciating the device for what it is.

Thank you so much. I agree! Reviewers just look at raw benchmarks sometimes. Yes the Fold 5 has a 10% better display. 10% better performance, but when you look at some practical things: some people will enjoy this for book reading, they will enjoy the better cover display, or the better aspect ratio for videos, or for gaming. All of those things mean way more than the 5% here, or the bezels most people won't notice. I'm not saying it's "the best" foldable, but it hangs in there with all the other foldables on the market, and needs to be recognized for that. It's my personal favorite right now in the foldable world.

There are pros and cons to every phone… so I’m not saying the Pixel Fold is perfect. But, I just LOVE the form-factor and Pixel software. I owned all three folding phones available in the US and I came back to the Fold. I look forward to the Fold 2 this summer!

It's a great foldable. I've moved on to the one plus open but the pixel fold is my back up and is still a much more solid foldable than people give it credit for. Solid review. Keep it up!

Yeah I think the OnePlus Open is a great middle ground. It's wider than the Fold 5, but wider than the Pixel Fold. Still I think one mistake (tensor) won't affect 95% of users anyway. And people should appreciate all the other perks, especially with the sales going on and with it being out as long as it has been. Now the used market is good too.

I have been preaching this. Great video on this phone, im a very big fan of the pixel fold, its my primary for a reason, i love this phone, the smaller outer screen is perfect to me for a compact style phone and have the option to open up to a small tablet which is great to me.

To be honest, no. I don't think it's because it's a bad phone. It's tremendous from what I've heard. But I've got too many things to cover.

Nicely done. Ended up going with the pixel fold because of that wider outer display and i found it open box like new for $1100.00. watching KZfaq on her is perfect

I have the Pixel Fold in Porcelain. It's a great looking device. I agree with this video, I owned the Z Fold 4 and the hinge failed in 14 months. Switched to Pixel fold and I'm loving it. Call screening, aspect ratio and AI features are great. The only downside for me is the inner display on the fold as it's more reflective than the Z fold. So propping it up or holding it at an angle is something you need to be mindful of. Other than that, if Google continue with this same Form Factor, I'll continue with the Pixel Fold for many generations to come. I was almost about to pull the trigger on the OnePlus Open due to the Sale. I could have got it for around £1300 plus free gifts included. Glad i did not focus on the freebies as the software experience/support would not be anywhere as good as Google. Also for day to day use with the Open you'll be touching the camera module quite often due to it's design and I do think the design of the Pixel Fold is better overall...

I agree with you. It is more reflective, but love the Pixel Fold. I was tempted by the Open too, they were offering crazy trade-ins.

Thanks! Finally someone who appreciates the Pixel Fold, like I also do! I really love my Pixel Fold! It is the best foldable for me. I had the Galaxy Z Fold 2, 3 and 5, but I also found the aspect ratio not nice. Also the bloatware of Samsung I really hate. I'm always a fan of the Google software experience, nice and clean. The Pixel Fold does not get warm in my opinion, works great the way I use it. And it is very fluent in everything. For me the best phone at the moment!! Thanks for your nice video! I get why to an extent. If you look on raw benchmarks, they are giving you a processor. That's a little slower, that generates a little more heat, and you're paying $1,800. Plus it's a little heavier. And people don't like the bezels. But for me, the bezels don't matter. And if I'm completely real, in day-to-day use, I don't know does any difference at all between this and all of the chips that are more expensive. And I don't think most other people would notice a difference either. The truth is, a lot of reviewers look at the benchmarks you're getting for the money, but when it comes to the practical day-to-day experience, when it comes to things like book reading, or having a nice display for watching videos, those are small factors that a lot of people aren't even considering. They are also reviewing it at 1,800 while I'm reviewing it months later with a lot of sales going on and with a lot of devices you could buy used for cheaper. I bought mine for $700 on eBay. Normally they're around 900, but the point is, it's a lot easier to swallow the price and see the positives in that light. That's why I was excited to review it a little bit later, after Android 14, which improved the battery life a lot, and after a lot of sales and things lowered the expectations for the device

The only time i have overheating issues is 4k video processing. That's a pain. In every other way, i absolutely love my pixel fold

Hey brother I would like to know if you've had any sort of like really annoying software errors on your Pixel 8 pro? I'd really like to get one but the last two pixels I tried I had like really basic and odd errors. The one I remember the most is that I couldn't use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi at the same time. Which for me was super annoying because I work in a high-rise and get zero reception inside the building so I've got to be on Wi-Fi and I enjoy listening to music or podcasts or KZfaq and so I need Bluetooth to be working also. And it just seems like such a basic function of smartphones I was really disappointed that there was a bug in that. But I love Google as a company. I think I've said on this channel before how much Google does for the small towns it operates in. Like Pryor Oklahoma for instance. They take all the kids in the 8th grade to Washington DC for free. Pretty cool, since Pryor is a very poor area of the nation. A lot of those kids would not be able to afford to leave the state let alone see the nation's capital without Google. Anyway I say that just to prove that I am a huge fan of Google. I just have not like those damn phones lol I want to so bad. Right now I'm using an s23 ultra. But gosh I'm sick of Samsung. I mean don't get me wrong on that either, I think Samsung's stock apps are the best in the business. Their email app is legitimately the best and I like their messaging app better than Google's. But if there was some way I could take one UI and put it on any other phone I almost certainly would. I am really disappointed in how stale and stagnant Samsung has gotten. Like it doesn't take any sort of corporate genius to realize that just doing the same shit over and over again while your competition is rapidly improving is not a good business strategy lol. So I don't know hopefully the pixel 8 pro is amazing with no software bugs and if not maybe I'll try the Zenfone 11? Gosh idk

Sorry for the way late response, but honestly. I hear you. I had some weird software bugs on the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, sometimes I would have to turn the screen off and back on, or sometimes the navigation bar would do something weird, but I didn't have anything super major. The 8 Pro has been better, with even less issues. I never had the issues you're talking about. But I did notice a small uptick in minor minor occasional issues compared to some Samsung phones or others. But the Pixel 8 Pro honestly has been great for me. And the Pixel Fold. But I do hear of others occasionally having issues with some odd software glitches, but it's pretty rare. But it happens.

I love my Pixel Fold, buy I really miss the Surface Duo. That form factor was the best for me, but I couldn't stand all of the software bugs it had. I'm still hoping for a Duo 3 some day!

I finally just upgraded from my Note 9 to an S23 ultra and I seriously seriously thought about this phone. For me, it ultimately came down to the uncertainty around durability since I know I'd be keeping my phone for a long time and the S pen. My kids love to draw on my phone in church. lol I agree this phone is criminally underated and I really wish i could have made it work!

I'm exactly in the same boat as you. Even as a tech reviewer, I know I switch out phones all the time, but I just don't feel comfortable holding on to a $900 phone I could break easily. I'm sure your kids will love the spen 😂😂. Hopefully as they get older they hear that gospel message. If they're really young though, I'm sure they got to work on those drawing skills. If your kids are anything like my kids they're going to be running around in church

@AndroidDigest Mine are 7 & 4 so the s pen drawing is the only thing keeping them from running around the church. Lol I spend a lot of time researching gospel music. I love hip hop but it seems with gospel music you either get k love or hard-core almost underground rap. No poppy hip hop stations like you might hear on a secular radio station. No disrespect to the rappers, I love my old 116 but sometimes they sounded kinda angry. I got saved to be happy and have fun. Lol

Fun Fact: the form factor being so similar to the Surface Duo(2) makes the Microsoft Launcher a good alternative to the one from Google. It kinda feels like a MS Surface Duo 3 that way ^^

The outer display is the best. I rarely use the inner display. I had my device overheating, once. In mesa verde Colorado, 108 degrees outside. The pfold shit down. Guess what, so did my car. 🤷🏼‍♀️. I enjoy this device. I had the samsung fold v4 and 5, and both surfaces duo's. The pixel fold is my choice

Honestly, that's a really tough call. If you look you could probably get one in mint condition for like $850 or something online. Or really good condition. I would imagine a new fold will be better no doubt. But it will be $1,500 or more most likely. A lot of your decision depends on the aspect ratio you prefer. They are going away from this style and doing something more similar to the OnePlus open. A little taller and wider. But not as narrow as a Galaxy Z Fold. Some people prefer a passport style like this pixel. I would only buy it if you get a great deal, and if you prefer the aspect ratio. But you will go from a G2, to most likely a g4 processor with the Pixel Fold 2. So it's definitely a toss up and depends on the person

Yes, I would love to have a pixel fold thank you. It is the underrated king in my opinion as well I’ve used it a couple of times over always come back to the iPhone 13 Pro etc. just for the fluidity and the consistency of iOS. Otherwise Google is always consistent as well. It’s just a bigger bulk or type of device, that could be lighter

Love my Pixel Fold, my only complaint is that Google is bringing features to the older pixel phones and not the fold. For $1800, Google should prioritize the fold the same as they do the 8 pro.

I 100% agree. I think there are a lot of excuses happening, just like with the Pixel 8, apparently the hardware couldn't handle Gemini nano, but now all of the sudden it can. Why? People called them out. They said RAM was an issue, but the Galaxy S23 was getting these features with 8GB of RAM. And the Pixel 8 Pro. The processor is the same as the Pro too. It made no sense. They may have a limited team, and it may be hard work, just like with a game console, it's easier for developers to develop for one console, but the series s is harder to develop for due to lower specs. I think Google wants to save the work. That's my opinion. Pretty messed up. But outside of that, I love this phone for sure.

It's good that it's cheaper but I just can't spend more then $1,000 on a foldable personally. About once or twice a year the Z Fold gets close to $1,000 if not under it for a promotion at Best Buy or something. I've seen the OnePlus Open around $1,200 or so. If I see $1,300 or higher I run. Even then I'm a little skeptical at $1,200. But man. Do I love the Pixel Fold. It's a lot of fun. I've seen it used around $800 and that's a great deal. But even $1,100 or less would be pretty good new. That's my personal taste though for what I'd pay

Pretty insane. Shane Craig did a pretty good job too. But a lot of people just look at benchmarks and they don't look at the overall experience. There are some flaws, like the weight, and for me personally, price is an important factor on the used market, but there's a lot to like if you find it for the right price, like right now it's on sale quite a bit

I don't know how many people are going to say that Pixel fold doesn't have a stylus support. Reality is that it does support Stylus on both inner and outer Screen. I have written this comment with a stylus pen in handwriting mode on my Pixel Fold. 😂😂😂

I would argue it's not made for a stylus. No stylus was built for it. Remember with these fragile screens the z fold 5 has specific tips for the stylus they have made for it and a specific stylus for the device. Personally I wouldn't feel safe just using a usi stylus or a random capacitive stylus considering the fragility of these screens. But to each their own

if you drop your pixel fold, you will be faced with 900$ bill to repair that screen. and you will still be left with those massive bezels and its inability lay flat. fyi samsung and one plus foldable repair is 500 bucks

I wish they paid me good sir. I was actually on team pixel (receiving review units) and got removed 😂. Not anything bad but they trimmed down the numbers. So I'm the opposite of paid
