Today, I dive into this Google Sites VS Google Business Profile guide and help you identify the differences between both these Google website builder options.
Google offers dozens of useful apps and tools for business communication, collaboration and productivity.
However, many people are unaware that Google also offers two types of free website builders that you can use to create a website.

Can you tell me if there is anything I have to do after creating a website through either option to make it searchable? I created a website for myself through google sites which isn't searchable. Is it a matter of purchasing a domain name? Are there other steps I need to take? And too, would either a website created by google sites or google business be searchable outside of Google? Would a website created by either option be found in other search engines such as Bing, etc? Thank you!

Hey mate, Yes your website will be found. It will just be hard to show up on the first page of Google (depends on competition) and it can take time to rank any website. This requires SEO work to be done in order for your website to rank higher on Google. Yes a custom domain helps.

Hi Stewart, Great Video series. I have an existing Website but does not have online payment option. If I use Google site Web option and integrate the 3rd party payment option, should I put effort into developing Google Sites with my domain name and pay the monthly fee and give up the existing Website or run both in parallel. What would be advantages or disadvantages. Just starting to invest more time on GMB, so looking to maximise the Google Platform

Hey mark, I would just use your Google Site with the integration or your other website if you have the option to add a payment solution. But only choose one website that you want to work with.

@@StewartGauld Google is already generating so much income from their low-cost advertising that they should be giving something back to the world, plus they are without a doubt looking to identify and develop new business opportunities for the future that will ultimately be of benefit to us all. I know that I have already lived through the greatest technology revolution the world has ever seen during my 75 years on this planet, and I suspect there is still a lot more to come in the future.

Hey mate, GBP website builder has been removed by Google. You will only see Google Site websites now.

@@StewartGauld I think he means that in some languages text is read from right to left, while English and other languages are read left to right. Also, I think a small number of languages may be read from top to bottom although am not too certain of that.

No, if you have a website that you have created, link this to your GBP listing.

I'm glad! Unfortunately not. You will have to create your Google Site from scratch or from a template.

Hey mate, You need to unpublish your Google Business Profile website and under 'info' in your Google Business Profile you simply need to add your Google Sites URL into the 'website' option under 'info'

Thanks for the info! Yes you can. However, I suggest having seperate domains if your using Google Workspace.

@@StewartGauld as you have shown I tried to add a post of my product collection the full image is not visible as I use 1080x1080px of instagram. If I post of single product with image and POD link then I get two images - one I attached and other one is from the product link from Print on demand site. is it possible to do carousel post. While adding product on the GMB product list it always gives error for prix because I submitted in French way. Instead of comma I used point and now it’s working.

Your youtube video (local Seo strategy) On left side of the screen there are option for POST, and PRODUCT. I would like to know when and how to use it. I verified this video and I got the picture size 1200 x 900px. You also mentioned I can add video too. Now I would to know is it possible to add carousel. What will be the file extension? Is it possible to use create in canva? Secondly Add buttons - I am really confused since I am posting redbubble products. Could you explain me please.
