This is great! Question for you - if you were using Outlook previously via Microsoft Exchange and the company switched to Google Workspace (same email address) is there a way to keep everything in Outlook, old emails from Exchange and the new incoming from Google Workspace? Would you recommend migrating all old Exchange emails into Google Workspace and then setting up the new profile in Outlook and I guess re-downloading the migrated data into that new profile? Hopefully this makes sense. Again, thanks for the helpful video.

You could just export all the Outlook profiles to PST once emails start coming through Workspace. Then add the Workspace account onto Outlook using either IMAP or POP port settings. After which you can just import the PST of your Outlook onto the Gmail account. The reason this is better than migrating to Workspace is because of the 25MB file attachment limit they have. You can get around that doing it this way. It just requires communication between every user to do this.

You'll want to migrate server-side whenever possible. Moving data directly from Exchange to Google Workspace. Then when you set up Outlook sync, you'll have all your data. Generally, this is a more robust migration option that leverages the desktop options (but that is also possible). Normally, the IT-team/resources would migrate the data in advance of any change from one server (Exchange) to the other (Google Workspace).

Your best option is IMAP as Microsoft Outlook technically only wants one account synced via the MAPI protocol.
