Hey there thanks for the comment. Home Assistant has a REST PI that it uses for webhook commands. developers.home-assistant.io/docs/en/external_api_rest.html. This is the best way to hook into HA and use it from other programs like if this then that www.ifttt.com. That is what I use and it work ok. Are you talking about your desktop computer? If so there could be a simple way of doing it with Wake on LAN. with out disclosing your addresses what is the URL that you are using? It should be of the form: :8123/api/services/switch/turn_on?api_password= The password you use is the one setup for your Home Assistant in the .yaml file. Check that to see if it is working properly with the password you are using.

so is the google assistant timing out or is it the IFTTT timing out? If it is google assistant check your token and login information for IFTTT to ensure that it is able to connect. If it is the other way check your web address in the json webhook to ensure it is going to your pi. Check to make sure you are using a dyndns of some sort and check to make sure it is working properly.

Thanks for telling me. You will have to forgive the amature bluring I am just now getting the hang of how it works in premier pro. Also I found there is a way to redo the key by removing the maker service and re-adding it back. It then regenerates the key so I am not too worried. But thank you for pointing it out and for the help. I hope you enjoyed the video.

I installed home assistant.url: 192.168.2.100:8123/api/services/switch/turn_on?api_password=12345. When i say turn on led one and google assistant answered yes when ifttt installed but home assistant has no change

Hey there, it looks like you are behind a router. The problem you have is that you are trying to use a private ip addres 192.168. and ifttt and other cloud based solutions that are not part of your home network are unable to access that ip address. What you need to do is have a dynamic dns that points to your device.
