Letting apart the contradiction of spending so much artificial "intelligence" to end doing such stupid thing , why do you think it happened? I'm gonna make a little survey, please participate choosing the right answer. 1) The store doesn't really exist and the whole demo is fake. 2) Their AI made the website and that's why prices are crazy unreal. 3) The lady isn't a real employee but an overacting actress. 4) The lady ate her own brain and that's why she's unable to detect an evident scam. 5) All of the above.

I think that the unemployment level will go thru the roof. What everyone does not see is that share holders are asking for these efficiencies to be implemented as they make more money than humans and don't break down. This leaves a massive unemployment issue which companies like Unilever just did with 8500 redundancy last quarter before publishing their profits. With this level of accelerated progress you won't have a job. And the government are looking for a solution as we speak. But they are complicit with big tech as well. So if you look at Joe Biden forgiving student debt in USA it was his way of saying to students their degree has no value in tomorrow's society so that was the least he could do. By Q1 next year every company in the FTSE100 and Nasdaq will announce staff cutting program. Let's see who is excited then.

This AI saga is all fun and games until something goes horrifically wrong due to one of these tools "proof reading" some rule obligations and falsely passing it by as compliant. There are many other things which could go horrifically wrong with many of these presented tools while not having anybody directly responsible for their eventual failures. Redundancy related to automation is nothing new and this has always been the tech trend. I believe everybody will drink the AI hype Kool-aid until a range of things will go extremely wrong. I hope you are right and we automate everything and get AGI by next Thursday, I really want that and we need it. If that happens, everybody will get on the streets and ask for change, which should have already happened long ago anyways. However, if we are being a bit more realistic, these trends are just extremely hyped and will end up biting back when the "automate everything through LLMs" mentality will fail.

We serfs have to come together and have our own AI just like how everybody was so enthused about Blockchain and diversified ledger suddenly they’re all four centralization with big corporations controlling AI makes no sense.

Well removing jobs doesn't necessary means remove humans. We just need our societies to evolve at the same rate and tax hyper profits / robots to redistribute this evenly. I don't foreseen, like doing a bullshit job will be a norm anymore, and I like it

Google the AI gods…but king of presentation cap too. Short demos look cool from a distance or short snippets…true reliability lol? If you used Gemini, you’re aware of the true reality. Highly capable, yet I’m not trusting the model with none of the mission critical task, maybe if the businesses had experience to ensure proper grounding etc. we are not at a point for drop-in agents. You need people who know what they’re doing. Btw how trash is that generated podcast? Not like Gemini is amazing at creative writing…yet. they need to step their game up if these agents will actually have impact. They seem focused now though.

My point is that agents don't need AGI. Agents are task-oriented subject-matter experts that are not necessarily more intelligent than a really smart human. Their killer feature is speed and efficiency. That gives them an enormous productivity advantage and makes them job destroyers.

Although not exactly stealing, as you referenced their main sources, this is in my view still unacceptable behaviour. If you want to have an opinion over some news, you can reference snippets and keep it short to a valuable delivery.
