I would like to point out that Grobletombus Marble Eyes is credited as the god of the CONCEPT of Life. As such, they are not the god of life, or birth, or anything of the sort, but rather the ideas that people have about it. As such, it seeks to punish Runmo for not doing as people conceive should be the right thing for life. Even though all Runmo wants to do... Is live.

It seems a bit more in line with using the death of Runmo's predecessor sorta fucking up the fabric of the universe, what with the lives icon glitching out and being replaced with the head of the corpse multiple times.

@@loljustacomment2799 If you mean why does he blow up at the end. You should think about it. When a game ends there is nothing else about the game to be played including the characters. So I guess in the end he is meant to die because the game was over. *_:-:_*

The single most-important thing an animation can do to leave a lasting impression on me is to feel like a view into someone else's dream. Infinity Train felt like I was watching a nightmare, Twelve Forever felt like just a good, fun, childlike dream, and Over the Garden Wall floated somewhere in between. Little Runmo absoLUTELY made me feel like I was watching somebody's nightmare play out; everything that happened within this whole morbid world made sense just within its own context, and that made it intriguing as hell. So...dang, Goose, you made something really, really awesome. Thanks for sharing this with the world, I know I enjoyed it! 👏✨✨

Little runmo might just resemble a nightmare. In a nightmare, you always have a fear of death, and is hopping from dream to dream, with a different area each time. LR shows runmo being taken to multiple different areas with different looks every once in a while.

Its weird when i get actually scared, but the meatball man just made me feel like this video got into my wierdest yet scariest nightmares, that scene some will find it funny but i found it really unnerving, something that made me feel really weird and scared like never before, congrats to the person who made this animation 10/10 this is the exact representation of what anxiety and weirdness would look like.

It was probably because Runmo knew it was inevitable and he wasn't able to make it, no matter how fast he ran the meatball man was still going to kill him and he panicked and turned back. Running much faster than he had before, he probably would have made it if he ran that fast and kept going Okok I just rewatched it- it's also bc the meatball man is in the background slowly coming closer with that weird ass but funny screaming song And i now have proof that Runmo would've made it, he was a little bit more than half way before he turned back

This animation gives me WILD Felix Colgrave (the creator of Double King, etc.) vibes, but manages to stand all on it's own through a cleverly made soundtrack, captivating visuals, heavy usage of video game tropes, and all around heart. This is inspired work, and its clear you had fun seeing this idea to fruition. I'm excited for more! A serious delight to watch. I expect a full Meatball Man waltz.

Absolutely. Felix Colgrave vibes from the beggining, and the two details that made it clear that Goose has seen it are the sound and wavy hands of the bonekeeper, and the ending. This is an amazing and unexpected animation for me, i enjoyed all of it! Amazing work!

Coming back go this gem in a corner of the KZfaq animation section after the explosion of a certain circus show blows up fascinates me in a way that I didn't even realize how messed up and wierd the medium of animation can be. Nevertheless, this is very weird, and i love this ageless classic

Sadly enough, I think Grobletombus Marble Eyes was probably the nicest, friendliest creature in the entire story, all things considered, and if he hadn't failed his platforming section, Runmo probably would have been stuck in time/space jail for eternity, but with someone who'd patiently at least explain philosophy to him. In the Meatball Man room, anyone else notice that Runmo easily ran back to safety faster than he did running forward? I guess it fits with the concept of being more afraid of dying than living.

Lol this was brilliant! I always wondered what happened to my characters when they fell down those holes as a kid. In my head cannon they're still falling, like endlessly tumbling down that hole forever. This is is a much cooler idea haha

@@extrapathos Think of it this way. Some people are so focused on trying to increase their lifespans that they forget to "live." It's better to live your life pursuing a goal and trying to live purposefully than to make your only goal be to live longer. So, "the pursuit of life is more dangerous than a life in pursuit." That's what I think it means anyway.
