This Part 1 episode, we take a little detour via Tiaro to a famous butcher to pick up some amazing produce for our dinners over the campfire before arriving at Gootchie Creek to set-up camp and I take you on a full comprehensive tour of the grounds.
Located on the Fraser Coast region, with the massive cattle property featured around a natural spring fed billabong, Gootchie Creek Escape is one of the best spots along the Fraser Coast region! You won't be dissapointed!

We went to tiaro meats on Saturday and it wasn’t great. Meat was ok, but service with a snarl. No roast cuts available, no jerky or many smallgoods. Bacon was great

It is an amazing place. So much space. We have been a few times and definitely a favourite of ours. ( even in the middle of the floods early January, we all had a great weekend). The owners are amazing and extremely friendly and willing to help with what ever they can. So good to see it all green after all the rain.

Hey mate! Have been wondering how your trip has been going!? Hope it's been a fantastic trip so far! I heard about some bad fires in the West of Tassie recently and hoped you hadn't been caught up in any of that!? Thanks for the congrats on the ton... a milestone achieved thats for sure... and a big thanks to you too mate... I always enjoy the banter with you when I put a video up 👍 oh i bet you had a darn good time during the comm games mate! 😂😂 - Sometimes I think a sack bag, a small tent and a chair is about all you need... simple is often best I say! As for the baked beans... I have a few tins in my emergency grab bag when camping... never leave home without a tin of baked beans! 😂😂 - Living the dream down in Tassie I see... so very jealous mate! Will have to grab a beer when you get back up this way 🍺

Another excellent vid, I'm really enjoying your content. On the question of new swag, should check out darche dusk to dawn. There's a new model with upgraded poles (they were notorious for snapping) really happy with mine. No complaints. Another option is 23zero, they are worth a look to.

How come you have both a swag and a hub tent?
@TheWandererAUS
@TheWandererAUS 2 жыл бұрын
G'day Andrew... I often ask myself that same question! 😂 I use the hub for storage (food etc) - Since I don't have a canopy on the Ranger, just the tonneau cover... Anything left in there is susceptible to the weather and critters in the night... Hence the hub. I only take the hub for extended stays of at least 3 nights, mainly due to not wanting to set it up and pack it down all the time. It does kind of get a little wasted in my setup, with most of it being empty... but am yet to find anything else that would suffice. If you have any ideas... I'm all ears 👂 😂 Its a tricky position I'm in with that part of the setup... Thanks for the question mate, like I said, if you have any ideas... let me know 😀 Cheers, Rob
