I rarely if ever agree with Leland, but the Dems should in fact replace Joe. And if they make the strategic move and nominate Josh Shapiro they can easily win. Not only is Josh Governor of a must-have state, but he has a 64% approval rating and polls ahead of Trump in head to head. Dems need to concentrate on winning 3 states MI,WI and PA and of the 3 PA is likely the most challenging. Shapiro changes that, and he's already built a powerful anti-MAGA coalition within the state.He is extremely articulate, thinks on his feet extremely well, and would be the best candidate to represent the positives of the Biden agenda without the negatives, like age. Moderates and never Trumpers, POC,suburbanites all voted for him in PA, and based on popularity, the importance of his state, and his ability to prosecute the case vs Trump he is the best choice. Would likely help put both AZ and NC in play, would help Sherrod Brown in Ohio- just a lot of qualities Trump would be blinsdied by. Including being at least 20 yrs younger, and far more intelligent and cogent.

Michelle Obama would have to overcome the fact that she was First Lady, not President, and I remember when Hillary tried to make like she was co-President during the 90's. It didn't fly and she had to spend years building up a resume to get the nomination. Whitmer has a little national presence because of the plot to kidnap her (should I call it an FBI plot?), but that's not going to get her very far. Maybe Gavin Newsom has a chance because he's a really good-looking guy (and we know that counts), but he's made such radical Left decisions in California he's really just going to appeal to the Democrats' Far-Left base. The problem with trying to get rid of Joe now is that it's an admission that Democrats have knowingly lined up for a year or more in support of a man they know to be unfit to be President. Unless Biden passes or has a major health issue, they have to ride him through November. The good news for Dems is that this happened in June and September or October and people have a shorter memory than ever these days..
