So basically the Volta grip is useless if you buy separately without getting the creator case thing

You can actually use the Volta grip without the media mod case provided in the Creator edition kit. If you purchase the Volta grip separately, a modified battery cover is provided that allows access to the USB C port on the camera itself, allowing you to connect the Volta grip directly. At the time of purchase, I found the creator kit to be more of a bargain than buying the camera and volta grip separately, hence the added accessories from the kit. But depending on the price and your preference, you could go either way. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching.

I understand with the media mod it is not water PROOF. but how water resistant would you say it ALL still is?? as in do you think if i was out recording and i got caught in some rain it would still be safe? does that go for the mic as well??

I've used the media mod in very light rain before with the mic, but I've always wiped it down straight after. Wouldn't recommend regular use in rainy conditions however, mostly because the mic might be more affected than the camera and the volta grip. hope this helps, and thanks for watching !
