Great video - the opening scene framing and your delivery in the car park were awesome. The sound test is interesting. Personally I thought the built-in mic was really good. I've got the media mod but it felt like the audio was not as crisp.

Thanks man! I would agree. The built in mic itself is fantastic. I think the media mod is great as well especially in windy situations. Just have to mess around with the media mod settings more

Also watched the whole video Bluetooth audio works great with my motorcycle headset ….its made me get rid of the media mod/adapter I used to use

I can definitely see how the bluetooth audio would come in handy on a motorcycle. It still doesn't come close to using a seperate wireless mic like the Rode Wireless Pro though

@@kai__larsen I tried running a wireless go in the past but the audio would peak like crazy … I have used my headphones mic and yeah it’s not very good … but for a motorcycle helmet it surprisingly works better than I expected plus voice controls make it easy to turn on

@@MRSMI13Y90 yeah having it work with the voice control is huge! You should look at the wireless pro it has 32bit float so it never peaks or if it does you can bring it down in post

@@kai__larsen last few shorts i have posted i am good with my audio… I don’t need a rode mic wireless system … when i use my regular camera just use a shotgun mic

I can understand that! The Hero 9 is a great camera. Hopefully with the 13 or 14 we will see big enough improvements like a larger sensor

hmmmm it seemed fine when I was editing it. But now that I watched it on KZfaq it does seem a little loud though I can still hear what I'm saying. I'll make sure to fix it on the next one 👍🏼

The Max Lens mod review would be great, Kai. I'm just starting out with the Go Pro, and perhaps some tutorials about the various settings for different content like talking to people, walking in a snow storm, etc would be very helpful. Enjoying and appreciating your episodes here, thanks...

I have a gopro 11 and i stick with that i will wait for hero 14 if there is improvement in sensor and overheatif issue

Totally understandable, I wouldn't upgrade your 11 to the 12 either unless you really wanted certain software features or GP-Log. I'm hoping the 13 or 14 has drastic improvements

Did you have any problems with the go pro 12 ? 7 & 8 had issues with recording video & you had pull the battery every time to get it working again or format the sd card before leaving the house.

I haven't had any issues nope! I do remember that problem on my Hero 7. I highly suggest if you have the Hero 12 paying for the GoPro subscription with unlimited cloud service. That way your media will upload at night and you can set it to auto format the SD card after they're uploaded

One thing I like about the 12 over my 9 is the increase in file size. I can record 10 mins in 4K and it will be just one file.

Also if ur not recording at high bit rate u get 5 hours out of 128gb card 🤯

@@MRSMI13Y90 Oh yeah, that too. I saw my 256gb said I had like 13+ hrs to record at 4K60, I was like WTF? I then changed to 10-bit and went down to like 3hrs or something.

@@Ramcharger at first I was like am I actually on 4k but it’s using the h.265 codec which keeps quality but with smaller file sizes

The hero 12 does as far as I know, especially with the Volta battery add on that comes with the creator edition

Out of all the cameras I own, the GoPro is the only one with overheating issues, lag, and glitches. The Hero 12 Black has some bad color science in a lot of situations too and is oversharpened and over processed in the extreme. You think it is sharp and detailed until you look closer. I love it and hate it at the same time. GoPro has had these issues for several years now but unlike other companies, they are too lazy to fix it. That says a lot. The image stabilization is top notch though...when the sun is out. Once the sun starts to set my other camera from several years ago crushes it. Not just in stabilization either. I don't like the forced update and legal nonsense either. I love the form factor and features of the GoPro but I can't say it's my favorite action camera since it has too many flaws. It has its strengths but definitely has some serious downsides.

Hey, your video is really cool, but the soundtrack is a bit loud. Especially when u were at Missouri. It was a bit hard to understand what u were saying. And especially for me, who's a not a native from US

your background music is too much. nice video but couldn't watch it fully due to the background music... just turn off music when talking because i had to really focus on your voice when watching which takes me out of content.. just use music on B roll or to introduce an subject /topic, or outro 😊

I’m never going to GoPro no matter what this guy says. After hero 9 black I stopped using GoPros completely they’re bulls** overheating freezing etc. I bought hero 9 with combo when it launched it came with two batteries. I went to dubai did few shooting clips all clips combined like 2 to 3mins. I came back to my home it was working good till 1 or 2weeks after that it started freezing screen glitching etc. I changed memory cards still didn’t help then I noticed one battery got bulging.I checked another it’s absolutely alright still having then issue then I came to know it the other battery is also having some issue I have to spend few dollars for new enduro battery I feel like not doing it already GoPro is lot of money loss for me now i abounded GoPro it’s in my shelf brand new. by the way I never used it in water or extreme weathers I took care of it like new born child. PLEASE DONT TRUST ANY KZfaqRS GUYS. But one thing I can say GOPRO IS CRAP DONT GO FOR IT. IF SERIOUSLY INTO GOPRO THEN GO FOR IT JUST RECORD FOR 1 MIN OR SO THEN IMMEDIATELY OVERHEATS THIS THING IS CRAP JUST GO FOR DJI ITS WAY WAY WAY BETTER. AND GOPRO NEVER GIVES ANY UPDATES OR BUGFIX SOFTWARE JUST WHEN YOU UNBOX THE CAMERA THATS IT. You have to deal with it AND THEY RELEASE NEW MODEL WITH SAME THING AND BUGFIX WHICH CAN BE SOLVED WITH SOFTWARE UPDATES 😂
