Thanks for this, I've been curious. The dream for me would be to have a built-in wireless lav mic transmitter so you don't have to compromise on audio quality by using bluetooth.

The internal mic sounds so much better than the bluetooth mics. GoPro really needs to do something about that audio quality.

Thank you for the wonderful video, it's very helpful. Especially the part where you used the AirPods, it confirmed for me that the recording quality isn't what I'm looking for. The sound quality is nowhere near as good as GoPro's own microphone. I think the main purpose of connecting a Bluetooth microphone right now is for voice remote control rather than improving sound quality. Thanks again for your effort.

This is a software feature, GoPro should push this to lower models like Hero 10 and 11.

Whil i am happy they added Bluetooth, it seems to be a bitmof a half attempt. Not being able to monitor the audio is a huge miss and then the fact that almosy every Bluetooth microphone ive heard sounds pretty awful. There was a chance here to change things up, but this seems to be a miss to me. As of right now. If an amazing Bluetooth microphone comes out that works well, then i may consider it.

It might be the best solution for people who record motorcycle footage. A wireless mic inside the helmet avoiding the wind noise so you can talk and be heard and the internal mic recording the bike's sound outside. I'll test.

1:16 It worked for me. I used a Soundcore Life Dot 2 and i could hear the audio through my earpiece. Have to try bluetooth microphone without any audio receiver. Should help in my kind of content on city traffic rides and action mode with lots of headwinds.

Thanks for the video! Our golf page just bought the Hero 12 black and I was curious if there was a way to get 3 Bluetooth mics on the camera at once to get all our audio as we play. Disappointed to hear you only can have one. Not sure what to buy now

Just a thought you think the media mod would work with something like the saramonic sr-ax100 it would give audio meter on the media mod plus be able to adjust from the back or front depending on how it's mounted.

Sounds bad yes, but a game changer if you use it for voice commands when you can't reach the camera. Also if someone isn't an audiophile, they dont need to buy the media mod to record external audio

@@1lovelucas still horrible quality. I’ve seen videos of this GoPro being paired to magnetic DJI mics and the quality was very good. The AirPods sound horrible.

Informative video 👍. How did you do it? To connect your Sabinetek smartmike+ to your DJI osmo5? I tried to connect the other mic sabinetek has the AudioWow and the DJI can’t find the Bluetooth signal the mic is transmitting. Please show how you do it 🙏🙏🙏

is there a microphone set like rode go 2 out there, where the receiver could be connected via Bluetooth? But the mics itself connect to the receiver in the normal way? In this way you could have multiple mics and dont need this bumbee receiver on your USB-C on Gopro or Action 4.

Hello thanks for the video. Wich video editor program do you use to edit audio separately? I tried some programs and they didn't recognized them (eraphone microphone and gopro internal microphone) so the audio is terrible. Do you know any free video editor program? The airpods sound muffled and does not seem to work any better than any other pair of bluetooth earbuds. The second pair of earbuds you demoed sound way better. However, I wonder if the wind and noise reduction make a difference.

Just look how shit my audio is on my videos. When i upgrade to this im looking to get a mount at the back of my bike where air does not flow to that part and mount a bracket for a bluetooth microphone just to hear the exhaust. For us people who record on a motorbike but cba to use an external mic and sync it up in davinci this is a solution for us lazy shits xD

i think what they fixed with bluetooth was just when using the media mod with it.. but ill have a listen and if i hear a big improvement in quality ill make a video :) thanks for the idea
