Hey Nasher, I am starting my first year of roller hockey this year and I have been playing ice hockey for 10+ years. I just have a couple of questions: what is the biggest difficulty in transitioning from the ice to the roller game? Also for my wheels what setup should I use? I was thinking about doing a 76-80-80-76 setup to mimic an ice blade. If you can get back to me I'd really appreciate it. And keep the videos coming man I love em! I also sent an email to you

Love all your vids man! Have you heard of the uhwk? Maybe you can try to use it for ice videos if your season is still going on or next year. Basically its a tiny camera that blends in and fits on every hockey helmet and it has about just as good quality as a gopro! I encourage you to research it!

+TheNasher61 Good point. The roller rink I play at is at the local YMCA. It's about half and half as wide as a full sized hockey rink. So we don't have off sides either, and we play 3 on 3. Quite fast paced, and high scoring.

+Brad Newman in roller hockey, the red line acts like an offsid line sa the blue line in ice hockey. so it means puck gotta cross red line first and them you can lurk behind the net before it crosses the blue line if you feel like it.

+Matt B i played roller hockey under various tournament formats and there is no offsides at all, the red lines just serves the purpose for the center face and to determine an offensive/defensive zone for things like legal hand passes in the d zone

Quick question Andrew, what are the rules in terms of offsides for roller hockey? I notice a lot of guys hanging in the zone, and getting ahead of the blue line before the puck carrier.

Roller will never be as good as ice. I just love the intensity of ice and everything about it, roller is way easier to stick handle and there is no checking plus the puck is lighter so it makes it easier to use.

+Blake Eister I use a GoPro Hero 3+ Black at 1080p 60fps. I mainly use Final Cut Pro X to edit but have been trying to get into Premiere Pro as well. Hope that helps!

hello! I'm a huge fan of yours. I've found a product that you could probably use on the ice to film. it's called the "Vhawk" it's a camera that fits right in to your helmet. Don't get me wrong, the Gopro is amazing but this product has less of an injury risk and is actually allowed. hopefully you would this helpful!
