i remember many years ago While in Florida practicing on a small track during a winter series race. While practicing alone a large truck with Husqvarna graphics pulls up and out comes a full race team of guys with Kent Howerton as their rider. He approaches me an asks if I'd mine if he rode with me, "of course it would just fine with me" I responded. I was riding a 400 Maico While Kent was riding a GP 360 full factory rocket. Not to be intimidated I rode as hard as I ever have. Conclusion, He lapped me in two laps. He also convinced me to dump the Maico and buy a GP Husky like his. I took his advise and experienced my best season ever. Great memories

So crazy how you got all the regular guys all paying out of packet just riding after work , then you have one of the best and most successful rider in the world who has accomplish everything their is in this sport side by side

I bet they didn't make RV pay a dime to ride!!! the rest of us are paying 25-75 bucks a weekend
@Barely19319 жыл бұрын
98moto He still pays. maybe not out of his pocket (the teams) but he still pays. And if you go to ride supercross its actually $65 so its more for the pros now
@98moto9 жыл бұрын
Barely1931 how do you know. I used to work at a local MotoX track here in AZ and the pro's would ride all the time for free. I was told by management that they didn't have to pay. I'm talking Ryan Dungey, Blake Bagget and Blake Worten. never paid bro. I still had to pay and I worked there. WTF
@Barely19319 жыл бұрын
Because its milestone and savatchy has talked about it on twitter with other riders commenting. Thats how it is here and i go there a lot

MotoHolicJack Nah not really. I've been to supercross and seen a lot of famous mx riders at different tracks. They're normal human beings to me considering we do the same sport and have the same issues.

Why is it crazy, if you ride popular local tracks and lucky like me to live in California its common to see pros , lucky to to see them up close and the bikes especially, but they are regular guys as well,never star struck or act like a groupie, they just like u and me that ride and race, as they do it for a living, and we do it for fun on the weekends, point is this is common.
