Took you long enough to release this. This is why people don't like flograppling. Most people don't pay for sports, be it football, soccer, nba, ufc, or these bjj events. Release something earlier to keep people interested and up to date with the sport

This particular event had some stupid 3 hour long hall of fame induction ceremony before the main event pushing this event so unnecessarily late. The weekday main events end at like 1am. Why would anyone support this lazy business model?

@@shabblabbat when the main bjj events are held by flo grappling just for them to host it as they're doing, you can see why they're failing. Compare this to the ufc. Atleast they release highlights, interviews etc after the fights, they promote well, things are publicised, clips are put out. This grows the fan base and keeps people interested. How flo do things make no sense in growing the fan base

Even tho Nicky Rod spent years on the mat with Gordon and learning under the same coach he still couldn’t stop the move everyone knew was coming. That’s true dominance. The only comparisons that come right to mind is Khabib or Mike Tyson. You knew exactly their game plan every single fight, it never changed. But couldn’t be stopped.

Not sure how old you are, if you saw Tysons career, while an absolute monster, he is not in the same level as GR or KN, except public reverence. Which is so kool to see BTw! That said, he was dominant coming up, but for the most part he beat decent fighters and got beat handily by every elite guy he fought! Love Mike Tyson, but he was NOT able to maintain the same mentality post success. KN n GR did/have so far!

@@kevincoady5248 yeah but you can’t really compare them at all… Mike Tyson was a global icon superstar. Living in LA. Dating A list celebrities. Hanging out with Tupac and Biggie. Making hundreds of millions. While Gordon is a very small known name, mostly just within BJJ. Most MMA fans wouldn’t even know him. He doesn’t have the fame nor the distractions nor the money to go off like Tyson. Also Tyson came up in the ghetto and was a street criminal since age 11. Gordon is a white guy from the suburbs.

The second Nicky rod got a hold of Gordon’s foot in the second matchup he used 1000% of his energy and strength to crank the sub. Imagine if Gordon did that to him- Now tell me how Gordon is really an asshole and Nicky is the good guy lol

There hasn’t been a better grappler ever. I do think Marcelo is right up there. But total game Gordon is hands down better. That bein said, Brazilian jiu jitsu used to be more focused on positioning to not get KO’d from strikes.

You get a negative if you pull guard during finals. Your opponent doesn't get points for takedown if it's before the points period. If you want to play bottom without getting a negative you bait the takedown.

Nicky Rod's fault for not initiating a pass immediately after the takedown. That's sort of the thing with takedowns in comparison to guard pulls is that you should be chaining passing with the takedown, but for whatever reason Nicky just watched him fall down
