I've seen Sting in concert many times. And I saw police also in Lisbon. I am one of the biggest fans of this fantastic artist. I'm ❤️ your job. I have the book with your biography. Sting is everything to me in music. At a festival I got one. Prize 🏆 because I was the only one in thousands to know your full name.

Agree totally - as a lifelong musician, I love witnessing the lucky few of us who get to live regally and richly. Why should all the wealthy people be greedy in creative alpha-dog douchebags? Let some real musicians and artist/creatives get a piece of that top 0.00001% of the wealth pie.

Even though I recognize Sting is a most remarkable musician, watching all this bombastic life style (in case it is true) makes my teeth curl. I wonder if in the middle of all that extravagance and display of luxus he does ever something in behalf of others. It's a shame how very wealthy people don't give a dime or a damn to anyone in the world, while millions have been dying from hunger and exploitation. Besides, what a waste... houses and more houses and apartments and cars - all of those probably are used or even seen just for a couple of times in the year, while so many don't have the shelter of a simple roof over their heads. So much for all his experiences with 'yoga' - which is a practice not intended for physical acrobacies only, but for alignement with the Universe and transformation of the self.

-Buying Real Estate, hiring contractors and countless employees to restore, bring to market in favorable appeal, improve, maintain to standards, is difficult, time consuming... and costly. All labors focused on improving property, end in bettering the life of many. All in the repeated, ongoing chain of property transfers. He Is Sharing Wealth, far more proportionately than countless others around the world. note; Real Estate is just one of his business enterprises.. ;}
@DHarri99773 жыл бұрын
The houses are an investment, would you want to continue paying outrageous taxes on monies earned year after year as with investing in a general sense? Sting is now a business this is part of it when you have that level of money.
@ceciliagincho68063 жыл бұрын
@@blogengeezer4507 Whatever you say. (Am I 'hearing' the echo of a realtor's words here?...) The thing is, you missed the point of the whole thing I commented upon.
@ceciliagincho68063 жыл бұрын
@@DHarri9977 Like Blogen Geezer you also missed the point of my comment. By the way, what's is that "Sting is now a business" all about? I thought he were a singer, composer - an artist (And last - but not least -- a human being.) But what do I know?... You might as well be right, the transformation from a human with a remarkable talent into a 'money machine' is entirely possible. Even Sting himself said in an interview, "I like to make money" - it sounded, indeed, as if he were a machine with the capability of producing it.

He employs contractors, their numerous laborers, improves properties to current market demands, sells for profit, buys another for improvement, employing others in the process..., maintenance of all ongoing.... A great poet once said: luxury is vulgarity. Opulence is something that disgusts me, it is pure and obscene vulgarity.
@maciej.ratajczak3 жыл бұрын
Well, corruption is certainly disgusting and coercion is no doubt vulgar. (As for luxury and opulence, there are more obscene things.)
@bluarcher59412 жыл бұрын
so I guess that Sting just doesn't read that particular poet regarding opulence. He's got bit of that going in his life, I believe.
@AraliaFresia2 жыл бұрын
@@maciej.ratajczak wherever there is luxury and opulence, there is absolutely also an inflated sense of privilege in Sting’s case. I was never credited for the poetry that Sting’s shady business allowed to be plagiarized that I wasn’t even after royalties. Just credit. I got neither. I wrote more than half of “I Can’t Stop Thinking About You” and “Sad Trombone” from his recent albums. Not only that, I also wrote the first half of verses from Lucid Dreams which Sting used for Shape of My Heart when on tour with Shaggy 2018-19.
@maciej.ratajczak2 жыл бұрын
@@AraliaFresia I don't know if it's 'absolutely', as you say. If you look at Buddhist, or, more so, Hindu, temples, you might be tempted to think they are decadent. If you look at the exterior of Hindu temples, you'll often see elaborate sculpted stone sex scenes. However, on the inside, there are no sex scenes and the architecture is less elaborate and more sedate. The point of the Hindu temple is to remind people to leave their carnal desires outside. Enlightenment can not occur with attachments of desire. While people can indeed most surely be corrupted by wealth, I wouldn't say everyone is. I haven't met Sting so I'm not really in a position to judge him. I'm sorry about any troubles you have with Sting. I hope you can resolve or overcome it.

@myplan81662 жыл бұрын
Pretty sure, he will like the idea as well. Maybe his lifestyle won't be that rich, but first, communism is not about being poor, but wealth for everyone, and second, even a communist system can't deny his unquestionable efforts, which would be honored as well as it is honored now and here.
