94 was pretty much the best year for black metal...In fact if you only listen to black metal albums released in 1994, you won't be missing much heh. Transilvanian hunger, Hvid lyset tar oss, In the nightside eclipse, Pentagram, De mysteriis dom sathanas, Vikingligr veldi, Carpathian wolves.

None other than Infernus (the guy who composed this song, and founded the band). The basist was Ares at the time. King was the 7th basist to play for Gorgoroth, and this was filmed before Infernus had invited him to join.

Either King will end up with the rights to the name, or Infernus will. We will know within a few weeks what the court decides. I hope Infernus wins. If not, Infernus will need a new name for his new band, and the fake gorgoroth with Gaahl and King will be known as "gorgoroth" by people who dont know the history.

Ya, but infernus doesnt play bass. King plays base. And King is the traitor who went behind Infernus' back to patent the band name for the notorious band Infernus himself created and used for 15 years previously.

They created the name black metal. Not so much the sound. I mean, look at Mayhem, they were playing stuff that had a great deal of black metal sound, but that was before black metal even was around(for them),

I never said the lyrics were black metal. I know they are more death metal based(Chainsaw Gutsfuck for example). The sound was not completely black. It was a bit too necro, which is not a bad thing, but for black metal it is. Maniacs vocals gave it that black, hatred sound. Overall, it was very good though.
