When I filmed this 15 years ago, Gorgoroth were signed with a one-man label called Malicious Records, who gave shooting permission and Infernus himself even spoke an introduction for our video. In 1996, Gorgoroth were still obscure Black Metal underground, going on their first real tour with the 'Antichrist' album, and they were definitely the most intense act I had seen hitting the stage until then. So this is really a piece of history here, including 'Gorgoroth' and 'Bergtrollets Hevn'.

I think the song Gorgoroth is the definition of black metal. Not only is it raw, it sounds like its from another world.

Really great footage! Where was it recorded? I was in Berlin (Knaack Club). Pest stole the show (vs. satyr). Ares was full of energy. I could feel the energy. Great tour - great show - great video.

Well i found it through the Gorgoroth Official Site, as i look there for news every day, so great idea! That was really important. I never thought that there still are videos or photos of this glorious time, but this year even videos out of 94/95 appeared in Gorgoroths Gallery-section. Unbelievable and absolutely awesome. Thank you very much for sharing this well-preserved fossil!

Thank You so much MEDD this truly is a fatastic video,so well done and very professional,I think that it must be the best Gorgoroth video available,better than Live in Krakow as it is as You say,a historical document.the sound is so clear,much better than any live Bootlegs that I have heard.Please,post a link to the Gorgoroth website,only if You wish of course,but all Gorgoroth fans need to see this.I have just watched it about 20 times straight! huh, there is no more of that atmosphere nowadays. the black metal recordings from the 90s are so fucking specific. the crappy quality cameras, the black and white photos and most of all - no fucking Internet. to follow the band you had to be a true fucking fanatic. all those zines collections, the unreleased photos - fucking Devil, how I wish I could be there, in Norway.

It is such a loss that Infernus fired Pest last year.Next to Hat he was Gorgoroth's best vocalist at least in my opinion.Nowadays ''true'' Norwegian BM has turned into a circus with shit bands who use a way to polished sound.

In reality, it was all a circus since the begining: Guy talking about war, death, and medieval stuff, things that were not real in their perfect countries. They never knew bout what were composing, sad. Even Dissection front man knew it.

Amp infurnus is useing here is a marshall jcm900 4001 dual reverb not sure about pedals though always hate to see comments that are years old with no replies
