No, everyone likes it so much because it is a BOLTER (as in, from WH40k) also it is one of the most fun weapons to get buckshot+any other affix on. Mini-missile baby-boom buckshot ricochet non-elemental gorilla bolter + top quality hot potato for good measure = delete the world in a carpet bomb of explosions It is impossible to have a bad purple or orange bolter and when you have one that is fully cooked, well the Iris fight speaks for itself: Time to fight the boss. Boss? What boss? Did I mention it is an early game acquire?

I want to see a run with only commando’s micro missiles, and only the shovel and the chainsaw allowed as a way to fire said missiles. Stupid? Yes. Funny? Very yes.

The bolter will always be my main. The long range, the explosive synergy, and, of course, WARHAMMER. You just can't beat the vibe it gives.

I love willy wonder for so many reasons. 1, he brings the decisions back to guardian 4 even though you get a bunch more powercells. 2, he stops the gameplay pattern of getting a 2 affix blue and rerolling it til it's perfect. 2.1, he always gives you some green affixes, which feels really good. 3, he encourages you to pay the rest of the game, not just the main path. 4, if that wasn't enough, he also gives you more control over your gun so reroll can't just end you.

HOW. DOES. HE. DO IT?! These mini challenge rooms are so damn hard, and my man's blazing through like a god, making it look easy. Incredible, dude!

I want to say a thank you to you. I have been playing this game since early access times and got a lot of wins previosuly without much consideration of my build or synergies just kind of doing my own thing not even learning what some stuff does purely reliant on aim, movement and general damage numbers. But since I started watching your vids I have taken more care in my build synergies and honestly its opened a new realm and made the game more fun now that I actually take a minute to consider my loadout more. I just got my first win using elementalist, with windmill rifle and blunderbuss (both max rarity), I focused on boosting crit damage got 2 ammo increases and then focused on fire rate and took an ability to no longer be burned stunned or frozen and abused that by getting perks that boosted my elemental damages but had a downside like they would freeze me or stun or burn but I was now immune to those effects. I'd honestly never bothered to think of those synergies before and would have just gone with whatever boosted raw weapon damage/firerate

The Bolter is defintely in my top 5, maybe top 3 (Sulfator Shotgun still rains number one though, sorry Bolter), it's just one of the most satisfying!

Btw mini missiles goes amazing with the perk that makes you generate fury over time, you just get a constant stock of missiles as you fire, on top of the ones you get per kill

Hey, really like your channel that I discovered because I just got Roboquest. You just stomped this whole run btw! Question: could you consider doing a guide on basic principles of the game? Like how do you decide between keeping one weapon and maxing it or getting another one at a late stage if it looks good? Which weapons are bad and to avoid? Which routes to take/avoid etc?

I remember I got a purple Bolter in the ruins sewer, I was on hard (a difficulty I hadn’t beat yet) and smoked that run. Supper fun weapon, and it seems to drop purple for me a lot.

Man after watching a few of your vids ive realized the the scout is the best other then the elementalist with the no reload builds that i love but had just beaten the level 3 thingy with him and the bolter with buckshot, doubleshot and all them other goodies

They should definitely add a endless arena mode or a continuation past iris because I hate when I make a amazing build and it ends so quickly

Try to use the buckshot kaboom granade, it is really broken. Like its a weapon designed to be a secondary, but it can clear rooms easier than any other weapon as long as nothing is above its massive explosion radius. Its not as much fun as other weapons due to how low the skill required is, but its satisfying.

Even though the bolter can crit, investing in autocrit is still the play IMO

i actually always went doom garden and duke nuker just to avoid the energy center pre arsenal. thanks to willy wonder i have one more reason...

You should do auto missile cryo crit

rocket boost more dude. i take that perk that increase dmg after rocket usage. aim straight down and shoot rocket to get massive speed going forward. i sqw you try rocket boosting by turning all the way around and shooting behind you in an old video. you had me shaking my head bro. make viking helmet insanely powerful.

I will drop any other gun in the game for a good bolter. Teamed with extra shots and missiles it is pure destruction.
