February 9, 2023.
This video is a continuation of the recent fight between the gorillas.
Shabani, a silverback gorilla, intimidated his son Kiyomasa, and a fight ensued in which Kiyomasa and the females, Nene and Ai, became angry with Shabani and chased him around.
In the midst of this, Shabani's daughter Annie grabbed Nene, who was screaming and chasing Shabani, and threw her away.
Annie seemed to be the only one who was on Shabani's side.
The next day, Kiyomasa did not come out of the basement again, avoiding his father Shabani.
Shabani and his family stayed in the room above ground, not eating, waiting for Kiyomasa to come up from the basement to the surface.
It was very impressive to see the gorillas without eating and waiting near the door to see what was going on in the basement.
However, as time passed, the gorillas looked very tired.
Annie, in particular, was clearly losing energy and her stomach was flat. It is thought that she had just lost gas in her intestines, but not eating means that she is mentally unstable.
When the keeper tried to hand Annie some food, she didn't seem to want to eat it. The keeper gave her only water to drink, and soon she was lying down again near the door leading to the basement.
She was tired, but she also seemed to be concerned about Chiomasa.
She must be quite shocked that her beloved father Shabani and her brother Kiyomasa are fighting.
Annie's tired expression pained me very much.
