Heart disease is the number one killer of male gorillas in North American zoos. A dietary experiment at a Cleveland zoo suggests sugar and starch play a role. After a 21-year-old gorilla named Brooks died of heart failure at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo in 2005, researchers took a hard look at how the animals' lifestyle affects their health. It's also good to see people putting effort into making sure gorillas eat healthier...meanwhile , we advertise burger meals , carnival man eating contests , steroid injections, sabotage healthy food and go against people planting they own gardens etc...

They like the sugar frim FRUIT!!! So those Frankenstein biscuits you were giving them was the closest thing they were getting from their normal fruit diet. Leave them in the wild. They never get sick.

They don't eat tonnes of sugar even in the wild. The bulk of their daily diet is sugar free green leaves and sprouts

Zoos are horrible. Any wild animal should have a free expanse to live amongst. Keeping anything in a cage is so cruel

Wouldn't mind eating romaine lettuce if I was a Gorilla. But you better give me more of those if I was a Gorilla.

The best survival plan? Don't cut their homes to the ground and lock them in cages.

In the zoos they have these disease..let them go back to the wild and they won’t have these issues humans 😞

@ Fouch because these stupid azz humans build homes in the places that the animals lived :-( I know there is still places that they could go in the wild it’s just their place of living is getting smaller because of people like this in the videos
