+Eric Garcia Hi! It seems to me the other way. Let me explain. I think this song is about such a state when you are forced to leave a piece of your heart in another “city” realizing that you may never come back there again. In the same way, the hero of the song (2-D) leaves this “city” staring at the window of the car watching how the vibrant streets are replaced by the countryside. LA slowly moves away. And all he has to do after that is to dive in dreams and memories. The hero of the song is longing to be forgiven, but he knows the bitter truth that he will never receive forgiveness. He carries some kind of sorrow in his heart which he turns into “sad joy” under the influence of fantasies in order to reduce pain. So, this song is about these mixed feelings. Pain and sadness are mixing with the sublime and dreamy feelings. To be honest, when I got the idea to make a video, I didn’t think it was all about Murdoc. I thought about the feelings of the performer himself, and how to connect them together with 2-D. So, as for me, this song is more about Damon's personal feelings than relationships between 2-D and Murdoc. I hope I answered your question 💜

So yeah, basically this song is 2d feeling like he is just different and and sad without Murdoc. And he actually wants to be fine without him but he can’t.

Fantastic! This was so beautifully animated! I'm in awe! I truly believe this sound is about his confused feelings of missing murdoc It is conformed that 2D has a case of stockholm syndrome. Now that murdoc had been in jail at first it was fun, he gained his self confidence. But as more time passed on he realized that he needed him and a peice of him was missing. No I do not think its romantic feelings, Not necessarily. That's why this song is at the end of the album I just feel like 2D admires murdoc and it's an unhealthy relationship for him.

Sometimes I think I hate the feeling that sadness is. That whether or not I do want this feeling to end is something I'm still not aware of. Its oddly comforting at times and lets you stay in your own comfort zone, despite outward appearances.

Я считаю что эта песня посвящается Мёрдоку. Автор может не согласиться с этим, но отношения между персонажами в группе передаётся не только через лор но и через песни. А так же Деймон внёс какие то свои переживания в эту песню, т.к без этого никак (он же всё-таки пишет эти песни). Нам уже давно намекают на "близость" 2D и Мёрдока. Я просто надеюсь, что это окажется так 🦍🛐🖤
