Great video! Just got mine yesterday and tempted to cut the botttom handle off and leave the two leather squares. This has been a grail design; and I’m so thankful I was able to get one and the metal patch!

I’m keeping me GRXC1 as my main travel bag, I’m not persuaded that GORUCK/Carryology has improved on it with the newer version. The bottom leather handle on the V3 is particularly questionable. All first world issue but fun to watch and compare. Keeping the ‘outtake’ hiccup scenes in the main video is inspire; very natural.

I got buyer’s remorse just after buying it. It is a lot of money for a backpack. Thankfully, I really like the bag as shown on your video. It is going to be my first GoRuck. I can’t wait for Wednesday. Thanks for all your great videos!

I really wanted the ultra, but they didn't release it in 34L GR2 this year. Seeing the bottom handle and MOLLE on the straps killed it for me. Unnecessary on a 26L but would have been welcomed on a 34L. After not buying the 26L and watching this video I'm a little glad I stuck with the GRXC1. I prefer the slick straps, all dyneema back and straps, black\unfinished dyneema interior, and look of dyneema over ultra. I am excited for the GRXC3 though.

I almost decided not to click during checkout for this GR1 drop seeing the listed weight but I’m glad I did. The lightest - that’s a winner!

My 26L will not arrive until 27 Dec ( in the U.K.). The leather bottom handle concerns me, but not enough to stop my purchasing, a standard GR1 with a QAP is still my unicorn bag

I bought a "regular dyneema" 26L GR1 so not sure if you have this bag or could comment on how the dyneema would wear? Also with rain flaps is it always a pain to zip? Goruck said that should pass around the corner sticking points. I am debating switching for the regular cordura but cannot decide. This is my first Goruck so any insights you have would be great!

i don’t think anything will top the GRXC2 for me as I care most about durability and longevity. Also i don’t think I could deal with the crinkling. I think it probably will, but i’m hoping that the GRXC3 whenever that is, won’t have the 210 back panel as I can’t stand that stuff and how much it slips off my shoulders! That will probably be a deal breaker for me 😭

JB, how does the Dyneema material of the grxc1 compare to the recent, non-collab Dyneema bag that GR released? Is it identical or is the latter an enhanced version from a materials science perspective?

Hey I have a question. In the past every Carryology and Goruck collaboration arrived with a patch attached to the bag and I just received my bullet ultra with no patch attached and only a leather patch in the big box. I know I shouldn’t have expexted to get a metal patch despite the fact that I submitted my order after refreshing it religiously and actually getting it in seconds before the hour even hit so I thought there’s a pretty decent chance I would have gotten both patches also considering that I have a fast Wi-Fi and it took me less than one second total to push my order through. To my large disappointment the pack itself had no patch attached and as I mentioned the only patch in the box was the leather one I already had from previous Kaidan releases. So my two questions are a) is it normal for a pack to arrive with no patch attached and have one separately in the shipping box and b) I know that Carryology pre-release article as well as the drop article with links said that 250 are going to be sent on the drop of Ultra Black and 250 more on the subsequent drop of Ultra Blaze; however; if you look on Goruck site and go into features of both black and blaze collections, it says in both places that only 250 of ultra black first orders will receive the metal patch, which is very confusing. So while I am very happy to have gotten this bullet, I am a little bummed out that I wasn’t one of the first 250 lucky ones to get the double patch; however, if the blaze collection was never even a part of that offering, I reckon I wouldn’t feel as bummed out but then the Carryology website clearly stated that both days of drops would send 250 metal patches on each day. So do you know if Carryology is accurate or description on Goruck site under features is more accurate and is it normal that the pack didn’t have a patch attached to it and just had one leather patch in the shipping box? Lastly, I just have a hard time fathoming how anyone could have submitted the order for bullet ultra faster than I did, if I had to guess I would have thought I was one of the first 10 let alone 250 if indeed the blaze drop was eligible for metal patches in the first place… If you decide to do anything with yours, I don’t know how you would want to do it maybe have a Goruck knowledge and history pop quiz if you get too many people asking you to sell your additional metal patch but either way, I would love to get my hands on one so at least keep me in mind and let me know about my questions if you know the answers whenever you gave a moment. That ultra GR1 is a rectangle, very square. To me noticeably more than the other two. It’s a shape I’m not to fond of. I like that Goruck GR1s had a rather rounded top part and a bit wider to the base shape. The GRXCs have that traditional shape to me but the ultra is like a square.

I was an hr late after the drop and all GR2's were all gone. =/

i'm surprised that the kaiden with lined interior is even lighter than the grxc1

Grxc1 is heavier than the 1000d gr1?

In my opinion kaiden 3.0 for the win. It should withstand the elements much better. Would you know if that inner lining on the kaiden makes it climate neutral?
