Thank you! I still love NH more. But Maine and NH are definitely the most beautiful parts of the trail. There are no bridges on the way ( unless it's a detour) so you cross alot of rivers. And July had a record number of rainy days:( so the rivers were full and clothes wet almost all the time. At least it was warm, in 70s and lower. We didn't really have too many sunny days and the temperature was perfect for hiking except the rain. My shoes were wet for the whole month, they just didn't have enough time to dry. My rain jacket gave up in me in Maine as well. I ate so much! I think around 3000 calories on trail (a lot of candy) and more every time I went into town (5000). And I really needed it, I still lost weight. And I could really feel when I wasn't eating enough.
