Praise God and honor Him each Sabbath in worship. Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. Exodus 20:8 “Remember the (7th Saturday) Sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

When looking at the calendar, what does it show as the first day of the week? In Jesus’ time, what we call Saturday now was the Sabbath, however; in the New Testament we find that Christians met in prayer, preaching & worship on the first day of the week which would be what we call Sunday. Read Acts 20:7. The first day of the week was also prophesied in Psalm 118:22-26. This Day spoken of is the Day our Precious Lord Jesus arose from the tomb. Sunday. We are now living in the New Testament Dispensation. We are now to come together in worship on this Wonderful Day of the Lord, Sunday. Remember, Jesus healed the sick and did many good things on the Sabbath, which angered the Jewish priesthood. I pray this helps you understand why the New Testament Church comes together on Sunday. Everyday though, we should pray, read our Bibles and worship our Lord. Preaching and teaching about our Savior should be done every day of our week. With Prayer, Sister Pat. Pentecostal. 👏🙌🕊
